Hello guys and welcome to the third season! I am excited for this new season and I hope you all enjoy it. For this first episode of season three, I would like to share the story of my friend, Liam Elvin. His Instagram is @Liamelvin5111. This is story about how Liam knew God was real and how He became converted to the church.

My Aunt Passed away at the beginning of 2021 and after being raised an athiest I always questioned my purpose growing up but never really went anywhere with it.

Before my Aunt passed away, I had bought a purple hoodie with a purple flower on the back right. We were leaving the house, getting ready to go to her funeral and I was wearing this red hoodie. At the time I didn’t know what it was but I experienced a prompting telling me to change and put on the purple hoodie. I was questioning why my hoodie color even mattered but I accepted the prompting and changed.

Then we got to the funeral and I was amazed as there were all of these purple flowers around where she was being buried. I asked someone what significance they had and I got told that they were symbolic of her life as they were her favourite flower, and I just remember questioning what that feeling was that made me change, so I could feel closer to my aunt.

I’d heard about the church before but I had this gut feeling that I needed to reach out to the missionaries. After I prayed for the first time and continued to pray to know which Church to join, I then met with the missionaries, not thinking much would happen.

The lesson was on zoom but then I felt that feeling of the spirit and I just felt so relaxed. I felt in my heart that what I was doing was right and I asked the missionaries what the feeling was, not sure if they would be able to tell me or not. They then explained to me about the spirit and it was amazing, “how I could feel something about a religion i’m thinking of joining, but not knowing that’s what the feeling was.” It just amazed me to have those two experiences and its been nearly nine moths as of January 2022 (when I am writing this and sending it to Latterdayhelp), and I’m getting baptised next month (February 2022.) and it’s honestly been the best decision I’ve ever made.

Hello and welcome to the second episode of season three of Church of Jesus Christ- Real Life Stories. My name is Spencer and this is the Story of Taylor and how she was prompted by the Holy Ghost to help someone in need.

There is a Woman in our ward that every month has a Lady from Relief Society drive her home from church. So my mom had a month and I usually went with her to drop this women off. Well we were close to her house and I saw this man. He wasn’t begging, he wasn’t asking for anything on the side of the road, he was just sitting underneath the shelter of a building’s awning. A strong feeling immediately came into my heart. Well we came to where the women lived and dropped her off.

When we got back on the road I told my mom about the man. I asked her if I could help him, if I should help him. We didn’t have any money in the car, but it just so happened that the women we had driven home had given me a few suckers and candy. I decided I wanted to help this man. I told her where I saw him, and as we pulled into the parking lot in front of the building she asked me if I felt that this was safe. I knew in my heart what I should do, I told her yes that I think it is safe.

We pulled in and I became nervous. I asked my mom what I should say. She told me and so I went up to him and said “Hi, we were wondering if you would like some candy.” So I walked closer to the man and held the suckers out in front of him and he took them. He thanked me, and I returned to the car to grab more. After I grabbed more I gave them to him, and he already had put the sucker in his mouth.

As we drove away I was filled with an amazing feeling of warmth and happiness which was unmistakably from the Holy Ghost. This experience has made me so happy. I know that if we listen to the Holy Ghost we will be blessed and will bless others. I know this church is true. I know it. I feel it. I believe in it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Welcome guys to this next episode of the third season. This is Brittney’s story on how she was able to come to a knowledge of the gospel. Her Instagram is @brittney_filips. Enjoy the story!

Hi, my name is Brittney and I was baptized when I was 15. I am the only current member in my family. I met a girl in high school and we quickly became best friends. I asked if I could go to church with her one week and soon I found myself going every Sunday. After about six months, my best friend moved away and I stopped going to church.

One Sunday I had been having a really hard time and I remembered the joy I felt when I went to church, so I came back. It was fast and testimony meeting, and as I listened to everyone bearing their testimonies, I realized that I also had a testimony, however small it was at the time. I knew in that moment that the church was true and I could not deny it. I felt the spirit fill my heart and I felt so at peace.

After that day, I started taking lessons from the sister missionaires. They were so loving and supportive and we are still good friends. Everything they taught me felt so familiar, like it was things I already knew but just needed to be reminded of.

In September of 2012, I was baptized and it was the best decision of my life. It was very hard on my family and it definitely created some tension. Fortunately, now things are much better and my family can see that the gospel is a positive influence. Even though it took a little while for me to get baptized, that was only the beginning of my conversion story. I truly became converted as I applied the principles I had learned and as I learned about the Atonement.

I am so grateful for my Savior and I know that He has suffered the pains and sins of every one of us. His love for us is infinite, eternal, and all encompassing. I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and I pray that one day my family can feel of this joy as well.

I’m still continuing on my journey of becoming converted, as we all are, and I cannot wait to see how my story plays out. I love my Savior and I love His church. I’m so blessed to have found the true gospel of Jesus Christ in my youth, for it has helped me so much in the decisions I have made. I leave this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Welcome back to the third season of Church of Jesus Christ- Real Life Stories. My name is Spencer Charles aka @Latterdayhelp. This is the story of Kate and her experience of her friend being baptized! Enjoy! Her Instagram is @kate_binford.

I had the sweetest experience a while ago getting to see my dear friend Kylie get Baptized.

When she came out of the water, her face was full of pure joy. She had a fresh start, a clean slate as her past mistakes were washed away. My heart melted as she wrapped her arms around her dad, tears streaming down his face. He got to baptize his little girl.

After receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, I asked Kylie how she was feeling. She said she felt “really warm and tingly, and comforted.” I’m so glad that she now has the Holy Ghost with her always, to guide and comfort her. I am so proud of you Kylie!

You might be asking why is baptism so important?

As Hannah Montana would say:

“Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days.”

And those mistakes can bring feelings of guilt and shame.

Being Baptized by proper authority cleanses us, and these heavy feelings of guilt can be lifted through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Christ helps me change everyday and He can help you too. Thats what brings hope and light in the ever darkening world. It’s all made possible through Jesus Christ. I know that He lives. He loves and knows YOU.

Welcome everyone to the fifth episode of the series. This is the story of  how Brandon is able to find joy through challenging times. His Instagram is @brandon_carr18.

I think a big one for me is staying active. Physically, emotionally, spiritually, everything! Human interaction. So many people go through hard times alone, and they wonder why it’s hard. But I get it, sometimes I don’t want help either, maybe because I’m too worried about placing my burdens on someone else, or maybe my own pride doesn’t want to accept help. “Oh I don’t need help I can do this myself.”

And then it gets harder. But I’ve come to realize how much easier it is to feel joy and to get through those hard times by sharing it with people. Asking for help! You’ll be surprised of how many other people are going through something very similar!

Once you realize we’re all struggling, it makes that struggle seem just a bit lighter. Don’t do it alone. Don’t put yourself in a spot where you feel like you are alone, you’re only as alone as you decide to be. I understand it can be hard to share those struggles with people, so start somewhere with someone you know you can trust, like the savior!

There’s absolutely no way I’d be able to get through all my problems without him having my back and being there for me. He truly understands. He truly wants to help, and will! But will you accept it? He strengthens me, enlightens me, and helps me feel that true joy through those hard times.

Welcome everyone to the sixth episode of the third season. My name is Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp, and today I have a story from my friend Jacob. His instagram is @deez_fortgame. This is his story with the Book of Mormon.

My father, he was talking to missionaries from the church. He received a copy of The Book of Mormon but he never read it and was never part of a religious organization. But I got him interested in The Book of Mormon and Jospeh Smith. I felt that I had the same questions as he did so during dinner one day, I asked him if I could have The Book of Mormon.

He then went to the bookshelf and grabbed the Book of Mormon. As I held that great book, I didn’t have a feeling, but I had a confirmation that this book was true and the word of God. And from that day I could never ever deny it, ever in my life. It was the reason I why never joined any other church was because The Book of Mormon is true.

It was confirmed to me, it didn’t make me think of joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but it made me want to keep searching for the truth. I later joined the church from later revelation from God that the church, is His church.

Welcome back to this series! My name is Latterdayhelp and this is the story of Lucy  and her testimony of the Book of Mormon. Her Instagram is @beginningwithjoy.

There are no words to describe how much the Book of Mormon brings me joy. The Book of Mormon truly is evidence that our Heavenly Father loves each one of us. Although we can’t be with him physically he has given us tools such as the Book of Mormon and the Bible to guide us through our time in mortality to eventually return to live with him. The most amazing thing about the Book of Mormon is that it invites everyone to read it and to ask “if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.”

If you are struggling to find your purpose in life…read the Book of Mormon. If you feel like your life is pretty good without the Book of Mormon…read it anyways. If you have heard of the Book of Mormon and believe that its all a lie…read it for fun. I promise you that this book and the truths found in it will fill holes and gaps in your life that you didn’t even know where there.

THE GOSPEL IS JUST TOO GOOD NOT TO SHARE!!!!

Hello and welcome to the eighth episode of season three of Church of Jesus Christ- Real Life Stories. My name is Spencer and I have a story about tithing from a good friend of mine. His name is Karl Filbey.

So my family was never really poor but we got into some rough times when I was younger. My Dad lost his job and the savings bank account started to drop. It got so bad to the point where my parents had to decide if they were going to pay rent or use the money for tithing. Rent was due in about two days and there wasn’t enough money to pay rent and tithing. My parents remembered the blessings of tithing in the Bible.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
—Malachi 3:10

My parents with complete faith in the Lord gave up their money to tithing. We waited for a miracle….

Then a few hours later we heard a knock on the door. My father opened it and no one was there! However to his shock, there was an envelope on the ground. He picked it up and brought it inside the house. As my father opened the envelope, tears filled his eyes as he passed the envelope to my mother. There was enough in that envelope for us to pay rent and to buy food. I want all of you to know to always pay tithing no matter how hard it is because God will bless you more than you can imagine. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Welcome back guys to next episode of the third season. This is Rod’s testimony on the plan of happiness and Christ’s mission. His Instagram account is @rod_zberg.

A Righteous Mother and Two Partners in Crime.

When I was 16 years old the Saylors family moved into our neighborhood. I met Marsha first and she introduced me to Billy. Billy and I became great friends. Since that day, Marsha was a mother to me.

On August 19 of 2021, we celebrated the exemplary life of Marsha Saylors. She touched so many lives, serving and caring. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She had the gift of teaching the Gospel. Billy’s dad was also like a father to me and a mentor and he and Marsha were in amazing force for so much good. Marsha has been the central figure in a very large extended family and she the glue that kept everything together.

Volumes could be written about her. But I can personally say that she had a significant impact on my life from my teenage years onward. I was in her home, at times more than my own. I would even sleep on the floor next to Billy’s bed and stay for days. We had so many great adventures. I wore out my welcome so many times but she was patient, kind and forgiving. And at times as teenage boys do, we got into some trouble and Marsha was always there giving us that gentle course correction.

Fast forward to August 19, in the last eight months or so as I’ve born some heavy burdens and challenges in my life, I was so blessed to be in Marsha’s home almost on a weekly basis, where she gave me unconditional love and support, for which I will forever be grateful. She was and is a ministering angel.

To the Saylors, the Ogden’s, and the whole extended family… I grieve with you at the tremendous difficulty of this mortal separation. My heart is with you. My prayers are on your behalf. I am so grateful for the knowledge of our loving Heavenly Father’s Plan of Salvation and Plan of Happiness. I am so grateful for Christ’s suffering and victory over sin and death. He made it possible for us to live again with Him and our families forever. I am so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Marsha is a true disciple of the Savior and is such a great example for me.

I love you Marsha. You are dearly missed. I imagine that the reunions on the other side with your loved ones must be amazing. Till we meet again.

Hello and welcome to the tenth episode of season three of Church of Jesus Christ- Real Life Stories. My name is Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp and I am going to share a story I received. This is the story of Rinka Lzumida and her experience at the temple.

Thank you Latterdayhelp for letting me share my experience even though it is short.

When I think about the temple, I always remember that me and my family drove for 12 hours!!! That is my most favorite memory with my family! However I have not been in the temple with them because latter in life some of my family members left the church unfortunately.

I have felt that Satan wants us to be sad and destroy the eternal family. But I know God has more power than Satan.

I hope someday I will go to the temple with my family. I alway feel peace and happiness when I go. I know someday me and my family will go when it is God’s timing. I will never stop having faith and trusting the Lord.

Hello and welcome my friends! This is the eleventh and last episode of this third series! I have a special and heartwarming story for you all today to conclude the series. This is the experience of Matt Porter.  I found this story on Facebook and felt that his story should be in this series. The link to Matt’s account on Facebook is: https://www.facebook.com/matt.porter.735

I hope you enjoy the story!

I arrived at the address and honked the horn. After waiting a few minuets I honked again. Since this was going to be my last ride of my shift I thought about just driving away, but instead I put the car in park and just walk up to the door and knocked…

“Just a minuet,” answers a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor. After a long pause, the door opened. A small women in her 90’s stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940’s movie. By her side was a small nylon suitcase.

The apartment looked as if no one have lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets. There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.

“Would you carry my bag out to the car?” she asked. I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman. She took my arm and we walked slowly to the curb. She kept thanking me for my kindness. “It’s nothing,” I tell her… “I just try to treat my passengers they way I would want my mother to be treated.”

“Oh you’re such a good boy,” she said. When we got in the cab, she gave me an address and then asked, “Could you drive through downtown?”

“It’s not the shortest way” I answered quickly…

“Oh, I don’t mind,” she said. I’m in no hurry. I’m on the way to a hospice.” I looked in the rear-mirror. Her eyes were glistening. “I don’t have any family left,” she continued in a soft voice. “The doctor says I don’t have very long.” I quietly reached over and shut off the meter. “What route would you like me to take?” I asked.

For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator. We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds. She has me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl.

Sometimes she’d ask me to drive slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.

As the first hint of sun was creasing over the horizon, she suddenly said, “I’m tired. Let’s go now.” We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico.

Two orderlies came to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her. I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair. “How much do I owe you?” She asked, reaching into her purse. “Nothing,” I said.

“You have to make a living,” she answered. “There are other passengers,” I responded. Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug. She held onto me tightly. “You gave an old women a little moment of joy” she said. “Thank you.”

I squeezed her hand, and then walked into the dim morning light. Behind me, a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life…

I didn’t pick up any more passengers that shift. I drove aimlessly lost in thought. For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift? What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away?

On a quick review, I don’t think that I have done anything more important in my life. We’re conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But the great moments often catch us unaware- beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one. People may not always remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but, they will always remember how you made them feel. Always be kind to everyone.
