I had the sweetest experience a while ago getting to see my dear friend Kylie get Baptized.
When she came out of the water, her face was full of pure joy. She had a fresh start, a clean slate as her past mistakes were washed away. My heart melted as she wrapped her arms around her dad, tears streaming down his face. He got to baptize his little girl.
After receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, I asked Kylie how she was feeling. She said she felt “really warm and tingly, and comforted.” I’m so glad that she now has the Holy Ghost with her always, to guide and comfort her. I am so proud of you Kylie!
You might be asking why is baptism so important?
As Hannah Montana would say:
“Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days.”
And those mistakes can bring feelings of guilt and shame.
Being Baptized by proper authority cleanses us, and these heavy feelings of guilt can be lifted through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Christ helps me change everyday and He can help you too. Thats what brings hope and light in the ever darkening world. It’s all made possible through Jesus Christ. I know that He lives. He loves and knows YOU.
