I read this post on the BYU website from BYU AdLab that did an expirement. They had passersby read one page of the Book of Mormon, marking any mention of deity and sharing how reading the page made them feel. Seems like it would be an effective missionary approach, or at least an opportunity to show our friends a little of what we believe.
