Sometimes we all need a little reminder. It is so easy to get lost in our own trials and struggles, that we start to feel alone or that nobody cares. Thankfully, we do have people in our lives that care, but most importantly we have a Father in Heaven that cares and loves us deeply. Love does not always translate to ease, luxury, or even happiness.
The hen loves her chick, but no matter how hard it is, the hen will not interfere with the chick’s struggle to get out of his or her shell. The hen knows all to well, that making the chick’s life easy and helping them out of the shell will severely cripple if not kill the chick. Another interesting fact is that is takes on average 24 hours of struggle before the chick gets out of the shell. Struggle that grows us, will not be quick and painless, but rather it will take time and significant effort. But, during the whole process, the hen is close by and concerned for and yearning to take the chick under her wings. Our Father in Heaven is by us and concerned for us and sending forth His angels to be around us to bear us up and very eager and excited to take us under His wings.
