Mosiah 18:8-9 |
As we become true disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will be delivered from bondage and our burdens will be made light. To receive all that God has for us, we must forget ourselves and look outward. Only through service to our brothers and sisters, loving them and our Lord, can we be delivered from our trials.
However, you need to remember that “the Lord seeth fit to chasten his people”. Your Father in Heaven will continue to try “[your] patience and [your] faith.”
“Nevertheless—whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day.” (Mosiah 23:21-22)
This is very wise and true information. Following this council of forgetting ourself in the service of others is the key to happiness and building strong relationships. Hunter I am privileged to see first hand how this principle works by watching your example. I have been following you on your journey to become closer to the Savior and have felt your spirit and testimony grow as you read and study the gospel and try to apply it in your life by seeking opportunities to serve and help other people. You are a great missionary and have been a great example to me.
Paula, I second that. Hunter, you are amazing!!
