Divine light is the light of Christ in all of its various forms. Cast your eyes upon any moment where you fell into temptation, depression, or doubt and you will find that light was rejected, set aside, or covered in order for the enemy of our souls to cast a shadow of darkness upon you, thus allowing the temptation, depression, or doubt to grow.
Recognizing this truth in our lives will help us to protect against it in the future. We need to embrace and love the light. When we love something we do not want to be separated from it. Well do you remember the scripture that says:
3 Nephi 13:24
No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other.
We either serve, love, and hold to the light of Christ or we will find ourselves on the side of and filled with darkness, we simply can’t have them both.
