What is memorial day, it is a day to remember those that fought and died for our freedoms. I have the utmost respect and love for those who have served our country and gave the ultimate sacrifice, even their own lives, in defense of our liberty.
The Savior said in John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” This Memorial Day we honor those who had this great love and sealed it with their own blood. As I thought about these men, my mind was also drawn to others throughout history who also had this love and freely gave their lives for their friends and the cause of freedom and righteousness. Below are just a few to also remember this Memorial Day and everyday.
