We cannot become faithful disciples of Christ by accident or without effort on our part. We must set a goal, or a destination and strive to get there. As we do so and invite the Spirit into our efforts, we will develop into the person we were meant to be. It cannot be done by casually living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No one is able to fill their oil lamps casually, but through intentional effort.
