One does not simply inherit a strong testimony of Christ. It comes through nurturing holy habits and maintaining righteous routines. It comes through regular and consistent scripture study, prayer and seeking revelation. It comes through service and reflection. Having a strong testimony requires consistent growth, regular attention and is worth every effort that we can make.
