More than 24,000 young adults answered the prophet’s call to come to the General Conference Center for the worldwide young adult devotional on Sunday, May 16, 2022, to hear President Nelson and his wife, Wendy Nelson speak.
This is the first time the Conference Center was filled to capacity since March 2020 because of COVID restrictions. Thousands of people who could not get in, were led to the overflow areas in the Assembly Hall and Tabernacle. Many sat on the grass in the shade and watched on their phones — joining many others who watched online throughout the world.
“It feels like a power, this group of people, all the same age with different backgrounds and languages. Something like this unites people,” Areli Anguiano from Mexico City, attending Ensign College said.
