“In one of the more dramatic events early in the week, Jesus proceeded to the courtyards around the temple, overthrew the tables of the money changers, and then drove out those involved in the buying and selling of sacrificial animals.”

Jesus Christ was meek and humble, but He was also bold and firm when He needed to be. The temple grounds had been turned from something holy into one driven by money, pride, and status. Those who needed the temple the most, were unable to attend. When He cleared the grounds, it made way for the sick and afflicted, the children and elderly. They witnessed Christ teach and heal, and recognized Him for who He was. If also further angered the establishment, who began using the temple for their own gain. Christ recognized this and returned the temple into something holy.
