We can become useful tools in the Fathers hand, but we must be willing to suffer the heat, and the strengthening process of being formed into a useable instrument. Of course it would be easier to sit on the rack, unformed and unused, but we would also do no good and help no one. Our own efforts, our attitude, and our obedience all aid in our becoming the people that God has intended us to become and it is not all misery and hard work. The guiding and uplifting voice of the Spirit can help us on our way, and the knowledge of a Saviour who suffered all, and a great many more, things which we have! There is a way forward, trust in God, seek Him in our trials and don’t stop pressing on!
