“That is a significant number and an impressive impact. So that’s almost 3 million people whose lives have been affected in such a positive way,” Ryan Warren said, a region donor services executive for the Red Cross Utah/Nevada region.
Many blood drives sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will have produced one million blood units for the American Red Cross later in this year, 2022.
Recently across The United States there has been a blood shortage crisis. This is most likely because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the worst blood shortage in over a decade and since March 2020, there has been at least a 10% blood donation decrease. Through The Church of Jesus Christ, many lives will be saved and helped through the blood drives.
