“A lot of us are silent strugglers, and this course helps us work on the many areas of our lives that sometimes we don’t realize we need help in. I encourage anyone, anywhere to partake of this course because it will help you to become the better version of you,” Tate said.
Ten more languages have been added to the new self-reliance course given by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “Finding Strength in the Lord: Emotional Resilience” is a course that helps people learn to strengthen themselves spiritually through many different principles in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a ten week course.
The ten new languages are German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Albanian, Czech, Danish, Dutch and Hungarian. The original languages in the self-reliance course are English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
The topics that are in the course are developing healthy thinking patterns, managing stress and anxiety, building emotional resilience, managing addictive behaviors, understanding sadness and depression, and building healthy relationships.
You can download manuals and videos for the course at the church’s main website: ChurchofJesusChrist.org. You can also find the manuals and videos on the Gospel Library app under “Life Help.” Physical copies of the manuals are available to purchase at Church distribution centers. Anyone that is interested in the free course can reach out to their local church leaders.
