”The Lord has said “Look unto me in every though; doubt not, fear not,” (Doctrine and Covenants 6:36). Take that admonition seriously and trust Him to stand by you, to send angles round about when you need them and to answer your sober pleas.”
— Ronald A. Rasband
God has told us to look into Him in all of our thought and not to fear. If our foundation is built firmly on Jesus Christ and if we are striving to keep His commandments, we have no reason to fear. Trust God to stand by you at all times and if need be, to send His holy angles down round about you.
“How we deal with advantages and disadvantages is part of life’s test. We will be judged not so much by what we say but by how we treat the vulnerable and disadvantaged. As Latter-day Saints, we seek to follow the Savior’s example, to go about doing good.”
— Elder Renlund
Part of the test of this life is to see how we deal with disadvantages and advantages. We will be judged by how we act towards others and how we treat the disadvantaged. As followers of Christ, we need to follow Christ’s example every day and to do good.
“The commandments of God are “strict” because His kingdom and its citizens can stand stand only if they consistently reject evil and choose good, without exception.”
— Elder D. Todd Christofferson
Some people think God’s commandments are hard to follow and are strict. His commandments are hard to follow because no unclean thing can enter the kingdom of God. Only those that live a Celestial life can live in the Celestial Kingdom.
“Maybe we don’t always feel up to the challenge. But our Heavenly Father sees us as fearless builders of His kingdom. That is why He sent us here during this most decisive time in the world’s history. This is our time!
— S. Gifford Nielsen
Heavenly Father sees you as a fearless builder of His kingdom! He sees your strength and multiplies it by 100 when you need or ask for additional strength. Heavenly Father sent YOU here on the earth at this time period for a reason. These are the last days and that means you are one of His strongest children! This is your time! Now, stop dilly dallying and start building His kingdom!
“Appearances can be deceptive and oftentimes do not represent an accurate measurement of someone’s behavior… Jesus always looked on the heart and not on the appearance. He himself declared “Judge not according to the appearance.”
— Elder Soares
Don’t judge people. Period. It doesn’t matter what someone looks on the outside, it only matters how they are on the inside. Just because someone looks weird or commits a certain sin doesn’t mean you are better than them. Christ always looked at the heart and because of this, we should do the same.
“As we develop faith in Jesus Christ, we should also strive to become like Him.”
— Dale G. Renlund
When we obtain faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we should daily strive to become like Him. Our thoughts should often turn to Him and our actions should reflect His. If you do these things you will soon find yourself becoming closer to Him!
“Satan knows his time is short and is intensifying his activity to deceive and destroy souls.”
— Unknown
The Second Coming isn’t that far off. Satan knows this and he is starting to panic because his reign of terror and wickedness is almost over. His fun is coming to an end. Because of this Satan is doing everything he can to intensify his ability to deceive souls and lead them down to destruction. Satan hates you and wants you to be miserable just like he is. We need to put on the armor of God daily and not give into the attacks of the Devil. Don’t follow the world, follow Christ.
“Jesus Christ shares with the Father this same perfect love. When the Father first elaborated His great plan of happiness, He called for one to act as a Savior to redeem us-an essential pet of that plan. Jesus volunteered, “Here am I, send me.”
— D. Todd Christofferson
Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father have the same perfect love for all, regardless of past sins and mistakes. Heavenly Father lets the suns shine and the rain fall on the good and evil. The both love everyone the same with more love than you can imagine! Because of this great love, Heavenly Father created a plan for us to return back to Him. Jesus Christ willingly volunteered himself to atone, suffer, and die for us so all can have the chance to return to Heavenly Father.
“Never forget that you are a child of God, our Eternal Father, now and forever. He loves you, and the Church wants and needs you. Yes, we need you! We need your voices, talents, skills, goodness , and righteousness.”
— M. Russell Ballard
Please please please never forget that you are a child of God. This is extremely important to know. If you forget who you are, the Devil can lead you away from God. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you and they need you. Christ’s church needs you! So if you haven’t been going to church, go back!
“Jesus’s admonition to Simon the Pharisee also made it clear that we should never make harsh and cruel judgment of our neighbor, because we are all in need of understanding and mercy for our imperfections from our loving Heavenly Father. Wasn’t this exactly what the Savior taught on another occasion when He said, “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
— Ulises Soares
We should never ever make harsh and cruel judgment towards others. We all are all sinners and don’t have the right to judge others. Only God has the authority to judge so let Him do His job and don’t do it for Him.
“When you’re running from the darkness, it’s a feeling of fear. When you’re running towards the light, it’s hope. You know you’re running to strength, and peace, and happiness. We all need to be running to the light.”
— Peter Johnson
Don’t run to the darkness, run towards the light of Christ. If you run towards the darkness, things will just get worse. We all need to run to Jesus Christ when we are in need of Him. He will help you in all things and He will be right next to you through it all. Run to the light, run to the peace, happiness and strength. Jesus Christ is the light, peace, happiness and strength.
“The best the “anything but Christ” or “anything but repentance” crowd can offer is the unfounded claim that sin does not exist or that if it exists, it ultimately has no consequences. I can’t see that argument getting much traction at the final judgment.”
— D. Todd Christofferson
Sin is real and there are terrible consequences for choosing evil over good. Many people will say sin doesn’t exist or if it does, there are no punishments from sining. Brothers and Sisters, sin is real and this claim isn’t an excuse or even a good one when the final judgment takes place. Don’t listen to those that have no spiritual knowledge and are blinded by Satan.
“My dear friends, I testify that as we strive to incorporate the Savior’s compassionate example into our lives, our capacity to compliment the virtues of our neighbors will increase and our natural instinct to judge their imperfections will decrease. Our communion with God will grow, and certainly our lives will become sweeter, our feelings more tender, and we will find a never-ending source of happiness. We will be known as peacemakers, whose words are as gentle as the dew of a spring morning.”
— Elder Ulisses Soares
Elder Soares, an apostle of Jesus Christ, has promised us that as we strive to be compassionate in our lives towards others, our ability to complement the goodness of others will increase and our natural instinct to judge will decrease. He has also said that if we strive to be compassionate, our communication with God will grow and our lives will become better. We will be known as peacemakers as well. What an amazing promise from an apostle of Christ!!! Now that’s a promise to live for!
“Brothers and sisters, in this church, we believe in the divine potential of all of God’s children and in our ability to become something more in Christ. In the Lord’s timing. It is not where we start but where we are headed that matters most.”
— Elder Clark G. Gilbert
It doesn’t matter where we start out in life on our journey back home to God. It only matters that we are headed towards Him. All of God’s children have divine potential to become new and better in Christ. Therefore, bring Christ into your life, become better, and start going on that path which leads back home, to God and His kingdom.
“We need not hesitate to call upon God, even when we feel unworthy. We can rely on the mercy and merits of Jesus Christ to be heard. As we abide in God’s love, we depend less and less on the approval of others to guide us.”
— Elder Christofferson
Always pray to God, no matter what. It doesn’t matter if you feel unworthy, pray. The evil spirit tells people not to pray so they get farther from God and so their problems get worse. It doesn’t matter what others think of you, it only matters what God thinks of you. Abide in God’s love and it will be easier to not care what the world thinks.
“I pray that we will become more long-suffering and understanding of others and that the Lord’s mercy will, in perfect meekness, soothe our impatience with their imperfections. This is the Savior’s invitation to us.”
— Elder Soares
It is the prayer of Elder Soares and mine that we will all become more long-suffering and understanding towards others. That God’s mercy will help us become patient with those who have imperfections. We need to become patient with those that we are impatient with. We all are imperfect and God is patient with us in our struggles, we should be the same.
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
— Isaiah 5:20
As we progress towards the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, things are gonna get a lot worse. People will call things that are evil good and things that are good evil. We can already see this happening with the LGBTQ crap and a lot of other stuff. Those that call evil good and good evil will stand accountable before God on judgment day.
“Regardless of whether we start in abundant or difficult circumstances, we will realize our ultimate potential only when we make God our partner.”
— Clark G. Gilbert
No matter where you start out in life, abundant or difficult circumstances, we all can get to our ultimate potential. We can get there if we just make God our partner. God loves you and wants to help you in all things. Make Him your partner and you will find yourself getting closer to your ultimate potential and things in life will get better!
“I have long been impressed by, and have also felt, the yearning love of the prophets of God in their warnings against sin. They are not motivated by a desire to condemn. Their true desire mirrors the love of God; in fact, it is the love of God.”
— Elder Christofferson
The prophets of God have so much love for us and for God! They love us so much they warn us against all of the evils in the world. Their pure love is the love of God. The do not want to condemn others but desire to warn and save souls. Listen to the prophet of God and I promise you that you will never go astray! God will never let someone who will deceive His children as prophet of His church.
“We must know Christ better than we know Him. We must remember Him more often than we remember Him. We must serve Him more valiantly than we serve Him.
— Howard W. Hunter
In order to become closer to Jesus Christ and God, we need to take extra steps. We need to know them better than we already know them. We need to remember them more often and act as they act. If you do these things you will with no doubt become closer to God and His son, Jesus Christ.
“Our future will be determined far less by our starting point and much more by our slope. Jesus Christ sees divine potential no matter where we start. He saw it in the beggar, the sinner, and the infirm… no matter where we start, Christ considers what we do with what we are given.”
— Clark G. Gilbert
Jesus Christ sees divine potential in every single person. It doesn’t matter where we are in life or where we start out in life. We all have divine potential. He considers what we can do best with what we are given. We all have different strengths and weaknesses and Jesus can use those for our benefit to help us become more like Him. I’d live for that!
“The way of the world, as you know, is anti-Christ, or “anything but Christ.” Our day is a replay of Book of Mormon history in which charismatic figures pursue unrighteousness dominion over others, celebrate sexual license, and promote accumulating wealth as the object of our existence. Their philosophies “justify in commuting a little sin” or even a lot of sin, but none can offer redemption. That only comes from the blood of the Lamb.”
— D. Todd Christofferson
The world is against God and is anti-Christ. The Book of Mormon was written for our day and it is interesting that what happened in that book is currently happening right now!!! The Book of Mormon is truly from God and it will help you in all things. The world says sin is alright however what does the world know if they are against God? Only follow the one who descended from His throne divine to rescue you. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
”The Devil isn’t going to tempt you when you are strong and waiting for him to attack. He will attack you when you are mentally or physically tired and when you are not prepared. Therefore never let your guard down and always pray or you will fall. Always expect an attack at any moment.”
— Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp
In my experience, the Devil attacks me when I am mentally or physically weak or when I am not expecting an attack. The Devil may attack you in different circumstances than me but one thing doesn’t change. We need to resist Satan and find out when he attacks so we can avoid temptation and succeed. The scriptures say to pray always to avoid falling into temptation. Therefore pray often and think about God often.
“In this church, what we know will always Trump what we do not know. And remember, in this world, everyone is to walk by faith.”
— Elder Holland
Everyone in this life walks by faith. Faith that everything will turn out, faith that you will pass that test, faith that the sun will rise tomorrow. Faith is a powerful thing. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you could say unto a mountain to move and it would be done. Without faith, works are dead. If you have faith in Jesus Christ, you will also do good because if you don’t, your faith will die.
“Brothers and sisters, one of the miracles of this, the Lord’s church, is that each of us can become something more in Christ. I know of no other organization that gives its members more opportunities to serve, give back, repent, and become better people.”
— Elder Clark G. Gilbert
One of the miracles of being apart of Christ’s church is we can become better in Christ. We can become more than we already are in Him. Through His church, we can become better people and we can act as He acts and serve as He serves.
“Jesus Christ is king! Repent of your sins, follow Him and be saved! Amen!”
— Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp
Jesus Christ has saved me from my sins! Please repent and turn unto Him so you can also be saved and receive eternal happiness!
“I testify that He lives. He is the perfect model of merciful and patient discipleship. I Bear these truths in the holy name of the Savior Jesus Christ, amen.”
— Elder Soares
Jesus Christ lives! He is risen! Christ is the perfect role model and He is the perfect example on how to act because He is perfect! The world would be a better place if everyone just followed the example of Jesus Christ. If you want to make the world a little better, follow Christ!
“Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.”
— Alma 26:12
We all all spiritually weak and without God we are nothing. However with God, we are someone. With God we are spiritually strong and we are His children.
“In President Russell M. Nelson’s words, “It is precisely because we do care deeply about all of God’s children that we proclaim His truth.”
— D. Todd Christofferson
I and many others that are apart of Christ’s church are declaring the truth from the means of technology and many other ways. I personally am doing this spiritual work online, not just because God has spoken to me to do this but because of how much I love all of God’s children and I want them to all have the chance to follow Christ. My soul trembles at the thought of one soul not repenting and not being able to return back home to God. Therefore I and many others declare the truth because we care deeply about God’s children.
“When trust is betrayed. Dreams shattered. Hearts broken and broken again. When we want justice and need mercy. When our fists clenched and our tears flow, when we need to know what to hold unto and what to let go of we can always remember Him.”
— Elder Gong
No matter what is happening to you, no matter what you are going through, you can always remember Jesus Christ. If you let Him spend time with you, He will visit you and comfort you. He will always be there. Christ will show and tell you all things that you should do.
“Whether we start in abundant or difficult circumstances, let us keep our sights and our slopes pointed heavenward. As we do, Christ will lift us to a higher place. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.”
— Clark G. Gilbert
It doesn’t matter if in life we start in difficult or easy circumstances. What matters is that we keep our eyes and mind focused on God. If we keep our focus on Heavenly Father And Jesus Christ in easy or hard circumstances, Christ will lift us to a higher place than we start out with.
“On one occasion, I accompanied President Bill Whiteworth, the president of the Sandy Utah Canyon View Stake, to do ministering visits. He was prayerful about whom we should visit, trying to have the same experience as Nephi, who “was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which [he] should do.” (1 Nephi 4:6)”
— Jorge T. Becerra
We should always ask God what to do in all situations. God knows the best and if you seek to know what to do, He will reveal unto you what you should do. If you are doing ministering for example, pray and try to let the spirit guide you in who you should visit.
“Because They love you, They do not want to leave you “just as you are.” Because They love you, They want you to have joy and success. Because They love you, They want you to repent because that is the path to happiness. But it is your choice-They honor your agency.”
— Elder Christofferson
Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love you so much they cannot leave you as you are. They must put you through hard times so you become better than you were. They Love you so much they want you to repent and receive eternal happiness. This however is your choice. They cannot force things upon you.
“Temples are a vital part of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness. Ordinances of the temple fill our lives with power and strength available in no other way. We thank God for those blessings.”
— President Russell M. Nelson
Temples are an extremely important part of Christ’s restored church on earth. Because of temples, we can preform ordinances for the living and dead! We can help ourselves and others become closer to God! What a wonderful blessing temples are!
“For those who come unto Him, a crown of beauty will replace the ashes of mourning; joy and gladness will replace grief and sorrow; appreciation and celebration will replace discouragement and despair. Your faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will be rewarded more than you can imagine. All unfairness—especially infuriating unfairness—will be consecrated for your gain. I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.”
— Elder Renlund
Come unto Christ! Those that come unto Him that morn will receive a crown a beauty and you will no longer have sorrow. Those that are discouraged if they come unto Christ will revive appreciation and celebration. Honestly I could go on and on about what you obtain if you come unto Christ no matter what condition you are in but the list would be too long. Overall, no matter what condition you are in, come unto Christ and you will healed and your troubles and trials will be easier to bear. Please come unto Christ!
“Indeed, His commandments are not grievous-just the opposite. They mark the path of healing, happiness, peace, and joy. Our Father and our Redeemer have blessed us with commandments, and in obeying Their commandments, we feel Their perfect love more fully and more profoundly.”
— Elder D. Todd Christofferson
God’s commandments are not terrible, they are amazing! His commandments protect us and if we keep His commandments, we will receive lasting happiness, peace, joy, and healing. And besides receiving these many things by keeping’s God’s commandments, you will better feel the love of Jesus Christ and God! Keep the commandments!
“If most of the information you get comes from social or other media, your ability to hear the whispering of the Spirit will be diminished. Make your spiritual foundation firm and able to stand the test of time by doing the things that allow the Holy Ghost to be with you always.”
— Russell M. Nelson
STOP ASKING THE INTERNET FOR THE TRUTH. PERIOD. Alright, sorry about that. It’s just that people nowadays are asking the internet for answers instead of God! If you have a question, don’t ask the internet. Ask God. God cannot lie and the internet can. God will tell you all things if you just ask and make an effort to find the truth. If you keep asking the internet for answers, your ability to hear the spirit of God will fade.
Now I am not talking about googling an answer to a math problem or something like that. I am talking about asking the internet if for example you should become a missionary for Christ’s church. Just make your spiritual foundation firm and ask God instead of the internet.
“First, God listens to all His children’s sincere prayers, and heaven is open to all-not just a few. Second, God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings, united in Their purpose “to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.”
— Patricio M. Giuffra
It is important for everyone to know that God listens and answers all of His children’s sincere prayers and that Heaven is open to everyone! Another important thing to know is that the Godhead’s purpose is to bring men and women to eternal life and immortality. They want you to succeed and you can if you follow Christ and keep God’s commandments.
“Having great compassion, He set no limits and called for all “that are afflicted in any manner.” I love that nothing is too big or too small for Jesus Christ to heal. He knows our suffering as well and calls, Bring forth the anxious and depressed, the weary, the prideful and misunderstood, the lonely, or those who “are afflicted in any manner.”
— Bonnie H. Cordon
Nothing is too big or too small for Jesus Christ to heal and fix. He can heal you and your suffering. When Christ visited the ancient Americas, He called for all of those that were afflicted in any manner to come to Him so He could heal them. His offer still stands to us today! Come all of you that are afflicted in any manner to Jesus Christ. Come unto Christ and let Him heal you!
“We want to bring the house of the Lord even closer to our members, that they may have the sacred privilege of attending the temple as often as their circumstances allow.”
— Russell M. Nelson
Temples are a vital part of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through temples, we can make promises to God, make saving ordinances, bring forth the Kingdom of God on earth and Heaven, and so much more!!! Everyone deserves the ability to live near a temple of God. The prophet is trying to make that happen. It is my prayer that everyone that follows Christ will be able to live near a temple.
“In order to qualify ourselves to make righteous judgments, we must strive to become like the Savior and look at the imperfections of individuals compassionately, even through His eyes. Considering we still have a long way to go to reach perfection, perhaps it would be better if we sit at Jesus’s feet and plead for mercy for our own imperfections, as did the repentant woman in the Pharisee’s house, and not spend so much time and energy fixating on the perceived imperfections of others.”
— Elder Soares
We need to stop making unrighteousness judgments towards people. The only judgment we should make is righteous judgment. For example, if I was walking down the road at eleven at night and it appears that someone is following me, I would make a righteous judgment that they are following me and do something to get myself out of that situation. When we strive to look at others as the Savior did, it will be easier for us to make righteous judgments.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
— 1 John 2:15-17
Everything that is from the world is evil and of the Devil. The world seeks after temporary pleasure like drugs and premarital sex to many other things. Yes, these things may give you temporary pleasure but that pleasure will be there for a little season and an eternity of regret and sorrow. Christ offers a better life with eternal happiness and a more fulfilling life. Please follow Christ, repent, and follow not the world.
“Some say that attending church meetings is not helping them. Some say, “I didn’t learn anything today” or “No one was friendly to me” or “I was offended.” Personal disappointments should never keep us from the doctrine of Christ, who taught us to serve, not to be served.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
Go to church! Even if you don’t learn anything new at church, even if someone offends you, even if no one was friendly to you, please still go to church. Any disappointments we have about church should never ever keep us from the doctrine of Jesus Christ. Go to church and serve others instead of expecting to be served.
“Imagine if your whole life, you were told you could never succeed. Then consider the impact of being taught that you are an actual son or daughter of God with divine possibility. “He paused, then replied simply, “That’s powerful.”
— Clark G. Gilbert
You are a beautiful son or daughter of God! God loves you and you are His child! You are worth more than you can possibly imagine and God loves you more than you can possibly imagine. You have divine potential and possibility and with God you can do anything because with God, nothing is impossible!
“Here is the solution for our incessantly quarrelsome times- the love of God. In the golden age of Book of Mormon history following the Savior’s ministry, it is reported that “there was no contention in the land, because of the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people.”
— Elder D. Todd Christofferson
The love of God is the solution for all arguing and disagreements. In the Book of Mormon for a time there was a period of time where there was no contention because the love of God dwelled in all people! Therefore let God’s love dwell in you and you will have no more desire to argue!
“As we close this conference, we again express our love for you. We pray that God will shower His blessings and watchcare upon each of you. Together we are engaged in His sacred service. With courage, let us all press on in the glorious work of the Lord! For this I pray in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.”
— President Nelson
The prophet of God and the apostles of Jesus Christ love you and pray for you! We are all working to build the kingdom of God on earth. Let us all continue the work of God! Find things to do that will help others and build the kingdom of God on earth.
“I boldly testify that the Lord knows who you are and He loves you! Together, we will advance His purpose until that great day when Christ Himself returns to this earth and calls each of us to come “hither.” We will joyfully gather together, for we are those who come unto Christ, and we do not come alone. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.”
— Sister Bonnie H. Cordon
Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father know you and love you! They love everyone regardless of their mistakes because everyone is a child of God. However, just because they love you doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want because if you love God and Jesus Christ, you will keep their commandments. Please invite others unto Christ and help build the kingdom of God on earth! God wants all of His children to return home so invite all to come unto Christ!
“Third, we are created in the image of God. Our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, have bodies of flesh and bones like us, but They are glorified and perfected, and the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit.”
— Elder Patricio M. Giuffra
The third most important truth is to know we all are created in the image of God. This is so important to know because this means you are a beautiful child of God. You cannot be ugly because God isn’t! So when you see your reflection, look beyond your mortal eyes and see your true beauty!
“The scriptures God has given Christians in the Bible and in modern revelation clearly teach the need for a church. Both show that Jesus Christ organized a church and contemplated that a church would carry on His work after Him. He called Twelve Apostles and gave them authority and keys to direct it. The Bible teaches that Christ is “the head of the church” and that its officers were given “for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” Surely the Bible is clear on the origin of a church and the need for it now.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
Throughout the many scriptures God has given His children, it is obvious a church is needed for Him to lead and guide us. Jesus Christ is the head and founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has restored the church to the earth after the great apostasy through the prophet Joseph Smith. A church is needed and has been established.
“Jospeh waited 13 years. Abraham waited 25 years. Moses waited 40 years. Jesus waited 30 years. If God is making you wait, you’re in good company.”
— Unknown
Jospeh in Egypt waited 13 years to be set free from being a slave. Abraham waited 25 years to have a child. Moses waited 40 years until he and the Israelites could leave the wilderness. Jesus waited 30 years on earth to finish His work. If all of these people waited for a long time for something and if you are waiting, remember that it is for a good reason and you are not the first to wait!
“Forth, through Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ restored His gospel and true Church to the earth. The priesthood authority conferred on Christ’s Apostles 2,000 years ago is the same priesthood conferred upon Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery by Peter, James, and John.”
— Patricio M. Giuffa
After the great apostasy, Jesus Christ restored His church on the earth through Jospeh Smith. The priesthood power Christ gave to Peter, James, and John, 2,000 years ago, has been restored to the earth through those three apostles in Christ’s church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ’s church!
“We all need associations with others, and church associations are some of the best we can experience, for us and our companions and children.Without those associations, especially between children and faithful parents, research shows increasing difficulty for parents to raise children in their faith.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
It is very important for us to have associations with other people, especially church associations. This is one of the reasons you should go to church. It is also critical for young children to go to church so they are raised within the truth and not within the lies of the Devil.
“I pray that the Holy Ghost will enlighten and edify all of us as we consider together the marvelous work of salvation and exaltation in the dispensation of the fulness of times.”
— Elder David A. Bednar
We all have a marvelous and wonderful work to do on earth before the Second Coming. Christ is returning soon and we all have a work to do to prepare the world. Elder Bednar prays that the Holy Spirit will “enlighten and edify us,” as we do the work of God. I also pray that the Holy Ghost will guide us through the wonderful work of God.
“The missionaries first asked Leonor to offer a prayer. This touched me very deeply because her prayer was not a repetition of memorized words but an expression From her heart. I felt she was really talking to her Heavenly Father.”
— Patrico M. Giuffra
When you pray, do no not say memorized words or words you read on a piece of paper. When you pray, pour out your soul unto God. Talk to Him as if He is your best friend, because He is! He is always there to listen to you.
Imagine when you see someone you say the same exact thing to them ever single time. They would be annoyed. Therefore also don’t say the same thing to God every time. Pour out your soul unto Him.
“In the days ahead, if we don’t have the Holy Ghost with us at all times, we will be deceived and fall away from the truth. As Satan increases his power, we need to be more ready for the second coming.”
— Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp
We need the Holy Ghost with us at all times. Very, very soon, it will be nearly impossible to know the truth without Him and it will be too easy for us to become deceived. We will fall easily into the traps of the Devil if we do not have the Holy Ghost with us at all times. Only do things that allow the spirit to be with you and cast off all things that remove the spirit from your life.
“Then, when spiritual earthquakes occur, you will be able to stand strong because Your spiritual foundation is solid and immovable.”
— Russell M. Nelson
Make your spiritual foundation upon Jesus Christ stronger every day! If you daily strengthen your spiritual foundation on Christ, you will be able to withstand spiritual earthquakes and hurricanes.
“Finally, we learned about another testament of Jesus Christ: the so Book of Mormon. Written by ancient prophets, it tells of the people who lives in the Americas before, during, and after the birth of Jesus. From it we learn of how they knew, loved, and worshipped Christ, who appeared to them as the resurrected Savior.”
— Elder Patrico M. Giuffra
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon further testifies besides the Bible that Jesus Christ is the son of God. The Book of Mormon has blessed me, my family, and those that read it with truth, peace, happiness, power to resist temptation, and so much more! If you haven’t read that sacred book, please do so. The Book of Mormon is from God!
“When I say ”churches,” I include synagogues, mosques, or other religious organizations. We are concerned that attendance in all of these is down significantly, nationwide. If we cease valuing our churches for any reason, we threaten our personal spiritual life, and significant numbers separating themselves from God reduce His blessings to our nations.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
No matter what religion you are or what church you go to, it is concerning that church attendance everywhere is decreasing. We cannot stop valuing our chuches becuse if we do, we threaten our personal spiritual lives. Therefore please go to church!
“The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and the great tool of conversion in the latter days. Our purpose in sharing the gospel is to invite all to come unto Jesus Christ, receive the blessings of the restored gospel, and endure to the end through faith in the Savior.”
— David A Bednar
The Book of Mormon is truly a book from God! The Book of Mormon was given to us for our day to know what do do in situations that arise. However with this great knowledge comes a duty to do. We much share the truth with others.
“Even when you stumble, even when you turn away from Him, God loves you. If you are feeling lost, abandoned, or forgotten-fear not. The Good Shepherd will find you. He will lift you upon His shoulders. And He will carry you home.”
— Elder Uchtdorf
Even when you mess up and sin again, Jesus Christ is still with you and willing to help you and forgive you. If you feel like you are lost, abandoned or forgotten, Christ will find you and bring you home. The Good Shepherd always finds His lost sheep, always.
“We also testify that the restored Church of Jesus Christ has been established to teach the fulness of His doctrine and to officiate with His priesthood authority to preform the ordinances necessary to enter the kingdom of God.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
Jesus Christ’s church has been restored to the earth! His church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! The priesthood power to heal the sick and preform miracles has also been restored to the earth in Christ’s church. Spread the good news that His church has been restored!
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
— Matthew 4:19
Follow Jesus Christ and He will help make you a fisher of men. Being a fisher of men is spreading the gospel to everyone, no matter what they have done or who they are. Don’t worry about who you share the gospel to, Christ will just ‘sort the fishes’ later, He just needs everyone to know about Him. We need Jesus to help us spread the gospel. Follow Him and He will make you a fisher of men!
“Nothing compares to the unfairness He endured. It was not fair that He experienced all the pains and afflictions of mankind. It was not fair that He suffered for my sins and mistakes and for yours. But He chose to do so because of His love for us and for Heavenly Father. He understands perfectly what we are experiencing.”
— Dale G. Renlund
Nothing can or ever will compare to the unfairness Christ suffered. He didn’t have to suffer and die for us and it is unfair that He had to. However, Christ decided to do so because of how much He loves you, and He wants to do the will of our Father in Heaven. Therefore, because Jesus Christ suffered all things, He understands you perfectly!
“His answer was very simple and direct; he looked at me and said, ”Elder Schmeil, you are called for what you can become.” I walked away from that experience pondering about what the Lord wants me to become… I then realized that all of this could be accomplished as I worked to become a better disciple of the Savior Jesus Christ.”
— Ciro Schmeil
You are called by the Lord to do His work for what you can become, not for who you are or who you were. You can become who God wants you to be and more by working to become a better disciple of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
“For generations , Jews had been taught to hate their enemies, and they were then suffering under the domination and cruelties of Roman occupation. Yet Jesus taught them, ”Love your enemies” and ”do good to them that despitefully use you.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
No matter who your enemy is, love them and so good unto them! Pray for them! Many people in this day and age when they hear this message, they will think i’m crazy. However, Christ taught to love your neighbor, and everyone is our neighbor. Live the higher law, do what Christ said.
“Our purpose in building temples is to make available the holy places wherein the sacred covenants and ordinances necessary for salvation and exaltation of the human family can be administered, for both the living and the dead.”
— Elder David A. Bednar
Temples are important and they are built to make sacred covenants with God. Temples are quite literally the house of the Lord, and they are scared places. The covenants we make at the temples are necessary for salvation. We are also blessed that we can preform these covenants for those who have passed away, so they can have a chance to also make the same covenants.
“It was the faith of all these dear friends that planted a mustard seed of faith in us that has since grown into a mighty tree of eternal blessings.”
— Patricio M. Giuffra
Faith is powerful! Don’t be afraid to share the gospel, have faith and plant mustard seeds of faith into the lives of other people. Maybe one or more of those seeds that you planted will turn into a mighty tree of eternal blessings!
“He (President Nelson) said, ”Ask your Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, for help.” Asking through prayer is one of the keys to knowing how to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ.”
— Ciro Schmeil
When you need to talk to someone, talk to Heavenly Father! He is always with you and He wants you to talk to Him. He is the best listener and one of the best friends you will ever have. If you are in need of help ask Him! He is always willing to help you.
”Acting is another essential key to becoming a better disciple of Jesus Christ. As we act, He will guide and direct us along the way. I am sure that Nephi was seeking guidance from the Lord to know how to get the brass plates from Laban, yet he and his brothers tried twice without success.”
— Ciro Schmeil
In order to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ, you must act! When we act He will help us with choices and guide us along the path. We must also seek guidance from Christ when we are to make a decision. Nephi’s brothers tried twice and failed to get the brass plates. Nephi however asked the Lord what to do. Therefore in order to make the choices, you must seek guidance from Jesus.
“When people wrong us in life we want to strike back, deal justice for ourselves. However Christ said that this isn’t our job. He said that our Father in Heaven also likes to deal justice. He said that God is a God of mercy and justice. Therefore, when people wrong you, take a deep breath and remember that it isn’t your job to deal justice. Remember the Lord will bring about justice in due time.”
— Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp
God is the one who deals justice and not us. It isn’t easy not to seek revenge or make things even, but it is the right thing to not deal justice for others or ourselves. God will deal justice in His own timing.
“In the restored Church we have doctrine, procedures, and inspired helpers that assist us to repent. Their purpose, even in membership councils, is not punishment, like the outcome of a criminal court. Church membership councils lovingly seek to help us qualify for the mercy of forgiveness made possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
If you have committed sin, there is always a way back. However, if you have committed a serious sin, you need to talk to a church authority. Yes, there is still a way back but it will take longer. Church leaders want to help you so if you have committed a serious sin, talk to them!
“As we study the scriptures the Lord will give us the answers or the necessary strength to get through one more day, one more week, and to try one more time.”
— Elder Ciro Schmeil
Study the scriptures and the Lord will you the strength to keep pressing onward, one day at a time. Scriptures are full of the power of God. We need to study them every day to receive spiritual strength every day.
“I believe the prophet Joseph Smith was emphasizing in both statements the fundamental truth that covenants, entered into through authoritative priesthood ordinances, can bind us to the Lord Jesus Christ and are the essential core of the work of salvation and exaltation on both sides of the veil.”
— Elder Bednar
Covenants we make can bind us to Jesus Christ. Covenants are important and they also are the key to salvation and exaltation on both sides of the veil if we keep our covenants.
“We are bound securely to and with the Savior as we faithfully remember and do our best to live in accordance with the obligations we have accepted. And that bond with Him is the source of spiritual strength in every season of our lives.”
— David A. Bednar
We are bound with and to Jesus Christ when we remember Him and keep His commandments. We need to be bound to Christ as much as possible because if we don’t, our spiritual strength will be weak and I can testify of this! When I was younger, for a short period of time I didn’t read my scriptures, and then when I did, I could tell my spirit was extremely weak! We need to be bound to Christ or our spirits will be weak.
“I invite us all to continually increase our faith in Christ, who has changed the lives of my beloved mother and me and continues to change the lives of all who seek Him.”
— Patricio M. Giuffra
Please increase your faith in the son of God who is Jesus Christ. Besides changing the life of Elder Giuffra and his mother, Jesus Christ has also changed my life, my family’s life, and those that seek Him. Increase your faith in Christ and seek Him. Jesus will change your life for the better!
“I invite you to pray to identify the debris you should remove from your life so you can become more worthy.”
— President Nelson
Please pray to know what things you need to remove from your life so you can become more worthy than you already are. There are many things in this world too many people have made their lives apart of, and they are no longer worthy. It is important to know what we need to remove from our lives.
“Therefore, renounce war and proclaim peace…”
— D&C 98:16
Yesterday, February 24, 2022, Russia during the night invaded Ukraine and is currently fighting them. On this horrific and troubling day, we stand with them against Russia, because they seek to kill them, and take over their country. Remember what our Father in Heaven, Mother in Heaven, and Jesus Christ have said about war, and about freedom. Please pray that this conflict will end peacefully and that all will be alright. Proclaim peace and renounce war.
“I invite you to consuder the blessings promised to covenant-keeping disciples of Jesus Christ.”
— David A. Bednar
Please think about the many blessings those that keep the commandments of God receive, and those that keep their covenants with God. They are usually more happier, they always have some type of light shining from them, and so much more! Keeping covenants and the commandments isn’t always easy but it is worth it.
“Each of us, in some way each day, can come closer to our Savior in our desires, thoughts, and actions. We can be loving and kind and nonjudgmental with each other and with ourselves as we do so.”
— Gerrit W. Gong
Every day we can in some way become closer to Jesus Christ. We need our actions, desires, and thoughts to be righteous and centered on Him.
“President Nelson is inviting us to work hard to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. He told us that to become more like the Savior, we need to strengthen our faith by asking, acting, and studying, among other things.”
— Elder Ciro Schmeil
Our prophet is inviting us to work harder to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. We daily need to be better disciples of Christ. In order to be more like Christ, we need to strengthen our faith in Him.
“God succored and blessed this family with the companionship of the Holy Ghost and made their home as sacred a place of refuge as the temple.”
— Elder David A. Bednar
Come unto Christ and keep His commandments. If you do so you will receive many blessings! God has promised us through the Sacrament prayer that if we always remember Him, His spirit will always be with us. I testify that this is true. If you always have the Holy Ghost with you, it is easier to make your home a place of refuge from the storms and hurricanes of life, like the temple.
“Life moves all too fast. When you feel weak, discouraged, or afraid, open the Book of Mormon and read.”
— Boyd K. Packer
The Book of Mormon is an important book to help us with many things in our day. If you are feeling weak or afraid, open the book and read. The Book of Mormon will give you the strength to avoid temptation, it will give you strength, and hope. The book is very important to read!
“The Lord told Nephi what to do: go and get the plates. But He dis not tell Nephi how to do it. He left it to Nephi to figure out and seek the Lord’s help-and this is often how the Lord works in our lives. As we act in faith, the Lord guides and directs us.”
— Elder Ciro Schmeil
Sometimes when we ask The Lord for guidance, He says it’s our choice! Christ wants us to think for our own and use our agency in some situations. This is how He sometimes works in our lives.
“In response, the Savior taught an important principle when He asked, ”Have they not read the scriptures?” Studying is then another essential key to becoming a better disciple of Jesus Christ. Prayer and scripture study go hand in hand. They work together for our benefit. This is the process that the Law has established.”
— Ciri Schmeil
You must study the scriptures daily if you are to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ. His words must be within you. Just like you feed your physical body every day, you must also feed your spiritual body. Scriptures study and prayer work together to connect you with Heaven.
“In addition to feeling peace and joy through the companionship of the Spirit, our Church-attending members enjoy the fruits of gospel living, such as the blessings of living the Word of Wisdom and the material and spiritual prosperity promised for living the law of tithing. We also have the blessing of counsel from inspired leaders.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
We can enjoy the fruits of the gospel by going to church. Yes, we can feel peace and joy through the spirit, but there is a different feeling when going to church. You become more spiritually filled. We feel spiritually filled after going to church because that is one of the ways to feed our spirits.
“The Savior knows you and loves you. He knows your name as you know his.”
— Elder Erying
Jesus Christ knows who you are and He knows what you are going through. He suffered the atonement so He could know what you are going through. This is how much the Savior loves you!
“The phrase ”armed with righteousness and with the power of God in great glory” is not simply a nice idea or an example of beautiful scriptural language. Rather, these blessings are readily evident in the lives of countless latter-day disciples of the Lord.”
— Elder Bednar
Those that follow Jesus Christ and keep His commandments will be armed with righteousness and the power of God. I have seen those blessings in my life and in the life of others. It is completely worth it do follow Christ and to keep His commandments!
“We too must seek guidance from the scriptures for our journey, and we must teach from them in our homes and Church callings.”
— Elder Ciro Schmeil
We need to often seek guidance from the scriptures. The scriptures are full of the word of God and they can provide us with the guidance we need. If we do not often seek for guidance in the scriptures, we will become lost and in darkness until we turn to the light for help and guidance.
“One of those laws is to worship in church each Sabbath day. Our worship and application of eternal principles draw us closer to God and magnify our capacity to love.”
— Dallin H. Oaks
A commandment from God is to worship Him each Sunday, and to do so in church if possible. Worshiping Him and Jesus Christ will help us draw closer to them, and we will become like them. Who doesn’t want that?
”For the time soon cometh that the fulness of the wrath of God shall be poured out upon all the children of men; for he will not suffer that the wicked shall destroy the righteous.”
— 1 Nephi 22:16
The end is near. The wicked will soon be destroyed if they do not repent. In most cases the Lord will not suffer the righteousness to be destroyed by the wicked unless, He needs their blood to be shed to stand as a witness against them. Heavenly Father and Christ’s wrath will soon be upon the whole earth. Repent and turn unto them before it is too late!
“Many times answers to prayer will not come right away. But we must have faith to continue, act in righteousness, and be persistent like Nephi when he was trying to get the brass plates. The Lord will show us a little bit at a time; as we study the scriptures, the Lord will give us the answers or the necessary strength for us to get through one more day, one more week, and to try one more time.”
— Elder Ciro Schmeil
Answers to prayer will not immediately happen. We need to have faith and keep doing what we know is right until that answer comes. God will reveal unto us a little at a time to keep pressing forward, until we have revived the entire answer!
“When you know and understand how completely you are loved as a child of God, it changes everything. It changes how you feel when difficult things happen. It changes your view of God’s commandments. It changes your view of others and of your capacity to make a difference.”
— Sister Susan H. Porter
Your whole view on life changes when you can truly know and understand how much God loves you! You are His child, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Never forget how much He loves you.
“Christ has broken the chains of death, sin, temptation, and everything else! Therefore you can overcome all because Christ has!”
— Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp
Jesus Christ for me has personally broken the chains of death, sorrow, and sin. He has saved me from these things and many more. I am no longer bound by those chains. If you are bound by any chains, ask Christ to break them and set you free. Whoever the son sets free, is free indeed!
“Because mental illness can interfere with our perception of perfection, it remains all too often a taboo. As a result, there is too much ignorance, too much silent suffering, and too much despair. Many, feeling overwhelmed because they do not meet perceived standards, mistakenly believe they have no place in the church .”
— Erich W. Kopischke
Mental health is real and there are too many people who have mental health that are suffering in silence. We must help them and pray for them. To those that have mental health, you are no different from those who have no mental health issues. You have a place in Christ’s church and you are loved.
“Be strong. Live the gospel faithfully even if others around you don’t live it at all. Defend your beliefs with courtesy and with compassion. But defend them.”
— Elder Holland
Be strong in your faith and in your beliefs, even if the people around you are not doing what’s right. Defend what’s right and your beliefs with kindness.
“Sometimes we mistakenly think that we can feel God’s love only after we have followed the iorn rod and have partaken of the fruit. God’s love, however, not only is received by those who come to the tree but is the very powerful that motivates us to seek that tree.”
— Sister Susan H.
You do not need to be righteous to feel God’s love. Many people falsely believe you must be doing what you are suppose to if you are able to feel His love. God loves ALL of His children regardless of what they do. God’s love is what motivates and empowers us to follow the straight and narrow path that leads to the tree of life.
“Of all the people who have lives on planet earth, we are the ones who get to participate in the final, great gathering event. How exciting is that! Our Heavenly Father has reserved many of His most noble spirits-perhaps, I might say, His finest team-for this finest phase. Those noble spirits-those finest players, those heros-are you! I testify the gathering is now, and it is real.”
— Russell M. Nelson
Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Parents have saved us for these latter days, to build their kingdom, and to gather Israel on both sides of the veil. Out of all the people who have ever lived, we are tasked with this great and final gathering event. That is extremely exciting! We are making history! We are Their finest team-Their finest spirits!
”These valiant disciples described times that their family felt all alone—and times they knew the hand of the Lord was lifting and strengthening them. This family expressed sincere gratitude for the difficult mortal experiences that allow us to grow and become more like our Heavenly Father and our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.”
— David A. Bednar
Even if you feel alone, you never truly are. Jesus Christ is always with you, and so is Heavenly Father. Any hard thing that we experience in this life is for our good. Through hard experiences, we grow and become closer to God!
“He then wondered about his questions. The feeling he received was that God honored his questions and that not having clear answers should not stop him from moving forward.”
— Susan H. Porter
If you ask Heavenly Father a question, He will eventually answer you. However, you may not always receive a clear answer to your prayers. This does not mean you shouldn’t keep moving forward. Do the best you can do with the knowledge you have and Heavenly Father will reveal the rest unto you.
“If you want to live with God again in the Celestial Kingdom, you need to live a Celestial life!”
— Spencer Charles aka Latterdayhelp
Both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have said no unclean thing can enter the Kingdom of God. If you want to live in their kingdom, the Celestial Kingdom, you must live a celestial life and repent often. No one in this life will get to the point of perfection, but if you do your very best, God will do the rest.
“Our gender was established before we were born into mortality and is an essential characteristic of our eternal identity. Your gender will be the same from the premortal life to the afterlife. Transgenderism will not exist beyond the veil because it consists of the world.”
— The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Transgenderism is of Satan. It is not just a wickedness in His eyes, it is an abomination! Our Heavenly Parents created only male and female children, there is not such thing as more than two genders. Our gender was determined before we were born on this earth, and our gender never will change. Transgenderism is of the world and is not of the light or truth, it is of the darkness. You can not become a gender that does not exist and you cannot switch genders. This is the truth!
“I testify that the Lord hears and answers our prayers; He knows us; He has a great work for each one of us. Through prayer, scripture study, and action, we can unlock the blessings of heaven and become better followers of the Savior Jesus Christ.”
— Ciro Schmeil
The Lord hears and answers all of our prayers. He knows you better than you know yourself and He will always be with you! In order to be a better follow of Him, we must study the scriptures, pray, and do good.
“There are times when we have to step into the darkness of faith, confident that God will place solid ground beneath our feet once we do.”
— Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Sometimes in life, we don’t know what’s going to happen next and we can’t see the future. At times like this, we have to step into the darkness of faith. If we do so, God will help you if you have faith and trust Him.
“As we receive His love, we find greater joy in striving to love and serve as He did. becoming ”true followers of His Son, Jesus Christ.”
— Susan H. Porter
When someone receives the love of Jesus Christ, they find a greater joy in serving others and doing what He did. As we receive His love and do what He did, we will truly become disciples and followers of Jesus Christ.
