“In like manner, it is now time that we each implement extraordinary measures—perhaps measures we have never taken before—to strengthen our personal spiritual foundations. Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures. My dear brothers and sisters, these are the latter days. If you and I are to withstand the forthcoming perils and pressures, it is imperative that we each have a firm spiritual foundation built upon the rock of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ.”

— President Russell M. Nelson

In these last days, it is extremely important to build your foundation on Jesus Christ, strengthen that foundation daily, and to take extraordinary measures to strengthen your foundation on Jesus Christ. All other foundations in this world will in due time crumble and fall. The only foundation that will stand in the end is Christ. I urge all of you to do these three things. If you do these things, you will survive the coming days.

The prophet of God, Russell M. Nelson knows that something is going to happen soon in the world that will be hard to withstand. He knows that in the not so distant future, there will be perils and pressures that no one will be able to withstand unless their foundation is built on Christ. This is why it is extremely important to build your foundation on Christ. Only in and through Christ can you be saved.

“And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.”

— Helaman 5:12

People these days spend their time and often think about worthless things like shoes or clothing. They occupy most of their time and thoughts into the things of the world. Whatever you spend most of you time on and whatever you think about the most is what your foundation is built upon. The bad thing is that the Devil knows this. Shoes, clothes, and other things that are good can distract us, and Satan will do whatever he can to distract you, so you will not survive the coming days.

Nothing in this world that is an object will give you happiness for very long. Therefore, build your foundation on Jesus Christ. Don’t spend your time and thoughts on things of lesser importance. Spend your time and thoughts on Jesus Christ and His church. If you do this I promise you it will be a lot easier to build and strengthen your foundation on Christ.

“The Lord has declared that despite today’s unprecedented challenges, those who build their foundations upon Jesus Christ, and have learned how to draw upon His power, need not succumb to the unique anxieties of this era.”

— President Russell M. Nelson

In closing, build your foundation on Jesus Christ. Daily strengthen your foundation on Him and take measures you have never taken before to strengthen your foundation. If you do this I promise you will be able to better survive the coming days our prophet has warned us about. I also promise you that if you do this, you will have more peace and happiness in your life.
