While spending time listening to the spirit today, I felt an impression to make this post to help others get the most out of the upcoming General Conference.
“Our Father knows that when we are surrounded by uncertainty and fear, what will help us the very most is to hear His Son… And, finally, we hear Him as we heed the words of prophets, seers, and revelators. Ordained Apostles of Jesus Christ always testify of Him. They point the way as we make our way through the heart-wrenching maze of our mortal experiences.”
— Russell M. Nelson
General conference isn’t that far away! However, how can we prepare to hear Him through the voice of His prophets and apostles?
The first thing I would say is to write down questions that you want answered, and ponder those questions in your mind. Many times when people have done this, all, if not most of their questions have been answered. Through General conference, write down things that stand out to you and what you felt. This will also help you find the answered you seek for.
General Conference is a wonderful time to feast upon the words of Jesus Christ. It isn’t required, but I would say if you are willing, fast the day before General conference, study the scriptures more, and pray more. Make your life more open to the spirit so you can hear the things that God wants you to know.
This week before General Conference, Increase your spiritual foundation on Christ and study His life and gospel. Have an open mind to hear Him through His prophet and apostles.
