Love is for its own sake. You neither earn it, or defer it for anything we have or have not done on earth. God simply loves us and wants the best for us. I would argue with anyone, that even the most vile of sinners would be embraced by our Saviour, not because Christ accepts those choices, but He loves us no matter what. I believe Christ would embrace and weep for the opportunity lost and for the hard life lived and continue on loving the sinner. We’ve been asked to love as He loved, without condition.
