“Temples are a crowning part of the Restoration of the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, in God’s goodness and generosity, He is bringing the blessings of the temple closer to His children everywhere,” Russell M Nelson said during the April 2020 general conference.

The First Presidency from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has announced a ground breaking date for the Bahía Blanca Argentina Temple. That date is Saturday, April 9. This temple will be the fifth temple in Argentina.

This temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson, as one of the eight new locations during the April 2020 general conference.

Two other temples in Argentina are currently under construction. Those two temples are the Salta Argentina temple, and the Mendoza Argentina temple.

There are currently more than 470,000 members of the church and around 735 congregations in Argentina.
