“Nothing is more liberating, more ennobling, or more crucial to our individual progression than is a regular, daily focus on repentance. Repentance is not an event; it is a progress. It is the key to happiness and peace of mind, when coupled with faith, repentance opens our access to the power of the atonement of Jesus Christ.”
— Russell M. Nelson
Growth, whether through experience or learning from others, comes line upon line, precept upon precept. Repentance is a critical step in that experiential learning. We learn more from failure than we do from success, and that adversity, and growth from it, is like building a brick wall… one at a time, ensuring each brick is solid and secure before moving on. We can and should do likewise. Focus on one thing at a time in order to ensure it is solid before before on.
