“As we undertook this effort with Muslim colleagues, we noticed how much there is in common between the two faiths,” Elder Bednar said. 

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released a pamphlet to help Muslims and Latter-day Saints find common ground between their beliefs, and help each other understand their faith.  

The pamphlet titled “Muslims and Latter-day Saints: Beliefs, Values, and Lifestyles” is available online on the churches main website in six languages to date. Those languages are:English, French, Arabic, Farsi, Turkish ,and Spanish. Versions with the  German and Russian languages will come later. You can also find the pamphlet in the Gospel Library app, opening first to “Books and Lessons” and then to the “Interfaith Relations” section.

“As we meet with Muslim leaders across the world, we talk about defending religious freedom,” Elder Gong said. “People of faith need to stand together for tolerance and dignity of people of all religious beliefs.”
