It’s hard to move forward when all you want to do is dwell on how far you’ve come! And it’s ok to do that, when it’s self-reflection. But when we cannot move forward because of something that has happened to us in the past, we need to reflect on Christ’s Atonement and whether we believe that His Atonement is sufficient for those hurts, and those scars, and whether He can help us move forward. I promise He can, if you let Him.
