Alright, so before we begin this might so far be my favorite Come Follow Me lesson because the family is so important and many people don’t think it is! People these days say marriage is old school or gay couples should be together and have families, etc. etc.
The family is constantly under attack and we must remember the family is an essential part of God’s plan. Gay, trans, whatever you want to call it isn’t accepted in the eyes of God within dating or marriage. These types of relationships will crumble faster than cookie crumbs fall from that warm, home baked delicious chocolate…..
Ahem. Sorry about that. I got carried away lol. Let’s get on to the lesson….
“Even before we were born, we were part of a family—the family of our Heavenly Parents…”
Yes! This is exactly what I was talking about earlier. Families are essential in God’s plan because before we came to earth, we were already in a family with both of our Heavenly Parents as we still are!
“Knowing that families are imperfect and subject to attacks from the adversary, God sent His Beloved Son to redeem us and heal our families. And He sent latter-day prophets with a proclamation to defend and strengthen families. If we follow the prophets and put faith in the Savior, even though mortal families fall short of the divine ideal, there’s hope for families—on earth and in heaven.”
The Atonement isn’t just about Christ suffering for our sins. It is also about Him feeling our pains and sicknesses. One of these pains is family problems! Because Christ knows this pain personally, He can help heal your family if things aren’t going so well! Invite the spirit into your home and try to be a peacemaker. Christ will then take things from there and help.
“How does this help you understand why marriage and family are essential to God’s plan?”
Amazing question. Think deeply about it.
“Think of paragraphs six and seven of the family proclamation as a pattern for “happiness in family life.” As you read these paragraphs, identify principles of “successful marriages and families.” Then think about a family relationship you would like to strengthen. What do you feel inspired to do? How will you involve the Savior in your efforts?”
I also love these two questions. We all need to find out how to make our marriage and family relationships work. The family is a strong force against Satan and his followers and that is one of the reasons the family is extremely under attack!
“The family proclamation includes marvelous blessings that Heavenly Father promises for those who follow His counsel. It also includes strong warnings for those who do not. Consider making a list of the blessings and warnings you find.”
Very, very important. I also suggest you right now start making that list about the conquenses and blessings! Don’t worry, I’m not going to go anywhere. You have plenty of time to make that list…
I’m still waiting!!! What are you waiting for, Christmas? Oh right, Christmas isn’t that far off if you are reading this in December!

So many important thing in this lesson! Gender is extremely Important and gender cannot change. If you are born with the body parts of a male, you are a male. Same thing applies for the females out there! The same-sex attraction is also a big topic to deal with. Having the feelings isn’t necessarily wrong but acting on them is. Acting on them is a sin and an abomination in the sight of God. Many people will not agree with this but it is the truth and truth will never change. Men are suppose to be with women in marriage and their are no exceptions. (Same thing applies with dating…)

A great thing to research and ponder about. Another thing to add on this is how can we strengthen our families? The more attacks that are towards the family means it’s time to start increasing the strength of your family.
