Hello and welcome! My name is Spencer Charles also known as Latterdayhelp and I will be sharing this week some things I enjoyed about D&C 133-134. Let’s begin!

Suggestion: when using The Come Follow Me book, use this page for my commentary and overview. You will see a quote from the Come Follow Me and my comments on it. First, look at the quote below and when it appears in the book, read my commentary below the quote. Repeat until you finish the Come Follow Me for this week. Enjoy!!!

“When the Church was barely 19 months old, the Prophet Joseph Smith and other Church leaders laid out ambitious plans to compile God’s latter-day revelations into one volume and print 10,000 copies—double the first print run of the Book of Mormon. Unfortunately, high costs tempered these plans, and mobs attacked the Church’s press while printing was in progress. They scattered the unbound pages, and although courageous Saints preserved some of them, no complete copies of the Book of Commandments are known to have survived.”

Alright, so the Come Follow Me Book for this week starts out with what they said above. The Saints made their own idea on how to spread revelation from God into one book. I would add that God does like us to create ideas on how to do things however, we should ask God if our plan is exactly what we should do. Since they were not able to complete their plan, I would say that God didn’t want them to use their plan but this is just my opinion and I could be wrong.

“As you read in Doctrine and Covenants 133:19–32 about the events that will accompany the Savior’s Second Coming, you might ponder what the descriptions of these events suggest to you about the Savior and His work. What possible spiritual applications can you find in these descriptions?”

I would like to add that this is a good idea and I love this idea! While doing this you should also look at other scriptures that talk about the second coming like Mark 13.

“As you read these verses together, your family could draw pictures of what they think the Second Coming will be like. You could also play or sing a song about the Second Coming, such as “When He Comes Again” (Children’s Songbook, 82–83), and discuss what your family can do to prepare for His Coming.”

I also love this idea especially about drawing pictures about what you think the second coming will be like. For older children and adults I would say besides drawing, take a moment out of your day to close your eyes and ponder for a while about the second coming of Jesus Christ. Maybe you will receive revelation about it!
