“If we are unable to place our discipleship of Jesus Christ above personal interests and viewpoints, we should reexamine our priorities and change.”
— Dale G. Renlund
I’ve often equated the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a train who is destined for its destination. We are potential passengers who choose whether or not to get on the train. The train will get where it needs to get, whether we join the trip or not. If we do join, the asks may be difficult and the challenges may be many, but if it were not important, they would not be asked or given. Our relationship to our Saviour should be first and foremost in our lives. That relationship will guide and direct all of our other meaningful relationships, Interactions and decisions. But first, we must decide whether or not to get on the train and become disciples of Christ!
