Welcome friends! My name is Spencer Charles also known as Latterdayhelp and I will be sharing this week what I liked about D&C 106-108. Let’s begin!

Suggestion: when using The Come Follow Me book, use this page for my commentary and overview. You will see a quote from the Come Follow Me and my comments on it. First, look at the quote and when it appears in the book, read my commentary below the quote. Repeat until you finish the Come Follow Me for this week. Enjoy!!!

“Its purpose from the beginning has been to make it possible for God’s children—including you—to receive the saving ordinances of the gospel and enjoy “all the spiritual blessings of the church—to have the privilege of receiving the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, [and] to have the heavens opened unto them” (verses 18–19).”

God’s plan of happiness has always been about us returning back to Him. This is possible through the priesthood. Without the priesthood, ordinances would not be possible. Ordinances help us rerun back to God.

“Elder Neil L. Andersen taught: “The priesthood is the power and authority of God given for the salvation and blessing of all—men, women, and children. … As we are worthy, the ordinances of the priesthood enrich our lives on earth and prepare us for the magnificent promises of the world ahead.”

The priesthood is given to man to do God’s work on earth with His power. When we are worthy, these ordinances help us prepare for the next world.

“Doctrine and Covenants 108:7.How can we strengthen each other in our conversations? in our prayers? in our exhortations, or encouragement? in all our doings? You might choose one of these to work on as a family.”

I like this suggestion. We need to think about this more often.
