“My experience is that even when the blessing is not what the others desire for themselves or their loved ones, the Spirit touches hearts to experience acceptance and comfort rather than disappointment.” Henry B. Eyring
Let me just say, that I am so thankful that the spirit is in control of blessings and not me. I am not smart enough or compassionate enough or wise enough to know what each person that I bleed is in need of. I may have an opinion on what someone would need, but that would simply be that, an opinion. Thankfully, the Lord does know what each of his children needs individually and personally. As a priesthood holder, I know that if I follow the promptings of the spirit, and I’m worthy to receive such guidance from him, then regardless of what I feel prompted to bless the individual with, it is right for them and the spirit can speak peace to their mind and their families minds as well. I have seen this happen many times with blessings that I have given and blessings that others have given. The Lord’s system of blessing his children through His priesthood, is a perfect and divinely orchestrated process and program. Glory be to God for giving His power unto men to bless all His children!!
