Hello and welcome to this weeks Come Follow Me Overview! My name is Spencer Charles also known as Latterdayhelp and I will be sharing this week what I liked about Come Follow Me. Let’s Begin!
Suggestion: when using The Come Follow Me book, use this page for my commentary and overview. You will see a quote from the Come Follow Me and my comments on it. First, look at the quote and when it appears in the book, read my commentary below the quote. Repeat until you finish the Come Follow Me for this week. Enjoy!!!
“Whatever limitations we may see in ourselves, Heavenly Father and His Son see something glorious in us, something godlike. Just as Jesus Christ “was in the beginning with the Father,” so “ye were also” (Doctrine and Covenants 93:21, 23).”
It doesn’t matter what faults or limitations you have because God sees something better in you! He sees someone who isn’t perfect, trying to become better. And that rare these days!!! Many people don’t want to become better but you are trying to! That’s what’s important.
“You might notice that glory, light, and truth come up frequently in this revelation. As you study verses 21–39 in particular, create a list of truths you learn about glory, light, and truth. How do these truths inspire you to seek greater light and truth? How might these truths affect the way you live your everyday life?”
I like these suggestions and questions. Glory, light and truth all help us become more like God. Seek daily after these three things!
“Doctrine and Covenants 93:2.How has Jesus Christ been a “true light” in our lives? How have we seen His Light in other people around us?”
This is a really good question. Let your light shine among the people of this world so they may also come unto Christ!
“What do you feel inspired to do to invite more “light and truth” into your home?”
We can always improve our homes to be more at peace. We all need to let more “light” into our homes. Everyone can help invite the spirit more into our homes. Our homes are suppose to be a refuge from the storm. Please make your home a refuge if you haven’t yet!
