On July 26, 2021 Elder Renlund posted on Instagram that he and his wife had the opportunity to visit the set for the production of the Book of Mormon Videos. On the day they went, they were able to witness the portrayal of Christ calling his twelve disciples from 3 Nephi.

“I was moved to contemplate how Jesus would have lovingly called His disciples from the assembled crowd. He knew them, loved them, trusted them. Surprisingly, I had never contemplated what the experience would have been like. This depiction enlightened my understanding, and I received one more spiritual confirmation of the reality of the events told in the Book of Mormon. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in 3 Nephi is the path of happiness; ultimately, it is the only path to eternal happiness.” Dale G. Renlund said while attending the production.
The first episodes of the Book of Mormon Videos Series were released on September 5, 2019, with the 15 episodes from the first two years of filming depicting scenes from 1 Nephi through Enos.
Production of the fourth season is continuing this summer. It will depict events from the books of 3 Nephi and Ether from the Book of Mormon. The filming of episodes detailing events from the books of Helaman, Mormon, Moroni and others has been unfortunately pushed to 2022.
The released Videos can be found in the Gospel Library app as well as in the Gospel Library section of ChurchofJesusChrist.org and on the Book of Mormon Videos YouTube channel.
