At some point in your life, you may of asked the questions “ Do I really have to forgive them?” And “How can I forgive them?”
Well you are not alone, at times in life it is going to be hard to forgive everyone that does harm to you or to others. We are going to have to forgive everyone because that is what Christ did.

Matthew 18:21-22 – Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times”

This quote doesn’t mean we need to only forgive someone seven times. It means we need to forgive them every time. It will always be hard to forgive everyone but it is possible through the help of Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that if we do not forgive others, God will not forgive us of our sins.

“But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”( Mathew 6:15)

Forgiveness isn’t really about someone else, it is about you. If you don’t forgive, you will live with the pain and anger of what others have done. It is best to forgive and forget. We can forgive others by remembering that no one is perfect and that we all make mistakes.

There are many ways to forgive people but if you are struggling to forgive someone, I would personally suggest to pray and ask for help to forgive. We all make mistakes and sin so it is important that we forgive everyone including ourselves. If you truly want to forgive, God will open a way for you to do so. Forgiving people is sometimes not easy but with the power of the atonement, we can do so. I say these things in the name of our savior Jesus Christ Amen!
