Trust in a loving Heavenly Father. He loves you. Jesus loves you! We are all better off if we were to show each other a little more love!

“Love Never Fails.” – 1 Corinthian 13:4-8

Lean on a loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, your Saviour and Redeemer, who know you! They know you and love you! They will support you in your times of trial! Lean on Them!

“When the pain is unbearable – as it sometimes gets – we can turn to Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They know this burden. They have promised to give us respite and rest. And I testify that They do.” – Sharon Eubank

There are things that matter in this world and there are things that don’t! Make sure that the things you are spending your time on matter. Because when all is said and done, the hockey scores won’t matter, neither will the bank account or the bucket list items. What will matter are the relationships you’ve built, the people you’ve helped and the hearts you’ve touched!

“The only metric that will truly matter to my life are the individuals whom I have been able to help, one by one, to become better people.” – Clayton Christensen

We have such a finite amount of time on this earth, it would be a shame if we didn’t spend that time on the most important thing! Not all wisdom is created equal, and gaining and sharing a testimony of the Book of Mormon is one of the most important things!

“I want it absolutely clear when I stand before the judgment bar of God that I declared… that the Book of Mormon is true, that it came forth the way Joseph said it came forth & was given to bring happiness & hope to the faithful in the travail of the latter days.” – Jeffrey R. Holland

Start today! Quit wishing and dreaming and start planning and doing! Work toward that happy life that you’ve always wanted! God will help you. He wants you to be happy and as long as your happy life is righteous, He will help you achieve that happiness you seek!

“You do not find the happy life, you make it.” – Thomas S. Monson

Do what you can, let the consequence follow. Focus on what you can control sand know that your Heavenly Father loves you. That should be enough. If others are struggling with their relationship with God, do t let that effect your relationship with Him.

“You may not be able to choose the trials you face. You may not have control over how others react to you. But you do have control over how you think, feel, and act.” – Dieter F. Uchtdorf

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

Don’t ever stop growing in the gospel! It is our charge to be our best self, and that includes pushing ourselves when life seems to be easy! As disciples of Christ, we must strive to be better and to look for those who need our help. And yes, we will fail, but we can learn and be made better thanks to a loving Saviour!

“As disciples of the Saviour, we are not merely striving to know more; rather, we need to consistently do more of what we know is right and become better.” – David A. Bednar

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

God is a master planner and both of you can do can frustrate His plan for you. He has accounted for your mistakes, shortcomings or even your insubordinate actions against His plan, and yet, His plans dole forward and you learn and grow! You cannot get where you need to be any other way!

“If you feel that in any way you are not clean, if you feel broken, please know that you can be made clean, you can be mended, because He loves you. Trust that nothing bad can come from Him.” – Walter F. Gonzalez

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

Make sure the media and entertainment you are consuming edifies your heart and mind. What you listen to, changes how you think and feel! That’s why the prophets encourage daily scripture study! Be aware of what you are partaking of and strive to be better!

“Your mind is a powerful thing, when you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change.” – John Assaraf

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

You cannot afford to be miffed at God! At least not for very long! Accept what you cannot control, and work on those things which you can control. Trust that God has your best interests at heart!

“If we criticize God or are unduly miffed over sufferings and tribulation, we are really criticizing the Planner for implementing the very plan we once approved, premortally. Granted, we don’t now remember the actual approval. But not remembering is actually part of the plan!” – Neal A. Maxwell

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

Don’t delay doing the most important things! Start today! Make a plan, set it in motion and do it! You will never regret making time for the most important thing’s!

“You know all those things you’ve always wanted to do? You should go and do them.” – E. J. Lamprey

I’m certain if our eyes could be opened, we’d be stunned at the work yet to do, blown away at the effort underway on both sides of the veil and humbled by the potential each of us have as a child of God! Stand up, press forward and help the kingdom of God move forward!

“The work of the Lord in these last days, is one of the vast magnitude and almost beyond the comprehension of mortals. Its glories are past description, and its grandeur unsurpassable. It is the theme which has animated the bosom of prophets and righteous men.” – Joseph Smith

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

Kindness costs us nothing but gains us and those around us so much space and positivity! In a world struggling to care, we need to be doing those little things to help others connect! Love one another, as Jesus loves you!

“Kindness is free; Sprinkle that stuff everywhere.” – Unknown

Nothing compares to the gift of eternal life which is being given to each of us, simply by being here on earth. The real test comes in what do we do with the gift?

“There is no treasure, nor any hobby, not any status, nor any social media, nor any video games, nor any sport, now any associations with a celebrity, not anything on earth is more precious than eternal life.” – Terence M. Vinson

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

We simply need to focus on the most important things and not get distracted by things of lesser value! Nothing compares to the opportunity being given right now and it will only be offered to those who have prepared themselves to receive the gift!

“You could pile up the accumulated currency of the entire world and it could not buy a loaf of bread in the economy of Heaven. Those who inherit the kingdom of God are those who become as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient and full of love.” – Dieter F. Uchtdorf

It’s not easy to withstand the tide of public opinion, but knowing who you stand with should make all the difference! While the world may be angry at you for standing up for what you believe in, remember that you stand with Christ! And as you stand with Him, you should act as He would and stand up in a loving and kind way!

“It may not always be easy, convenient, or politically correct to stand for truth and right, but it is always the right thing to do. Always.” – M. Russell Ballard

Our race isn’t with each other, our race is against sin. When we recognize that all we are asked to do is our best, and that He will help us, there is little that we can not overcome. Keep pressing forward, at whatever speed you can, but make sure that you are facing the right direction!

“Our Father wants us to do our best. He is there cheering for us. But ultimately it doesn’t really matter if we win the race. We will have won in His eyes if we have tried our best. And if we stumble and fall, our Father is there to help us hobble to the finish line and celebrates our performance with crowns of glory that will not fade.” – John S. Tanner

This one hits close to home! I see so much of myself in my boys and I hope I can be the good example they need so they grow to love Christ and strive in the Gospel.

“More children are punished for mimicking their parents than ever for disobeying them? – LeGrand R. Curtis

God is our Father, He and our Heavenly Mother love us more than we can imagine. They are rooting for us and want us to not just survive this life, but to excel and find the goodness that is inherent in our lives!

“When I can’t see the hand of God, I should trust His heart. I know what kind of heart He has.” – David Butler

I’m grateful for a Saviour and Redeemer who values women and men! We are different but equal! We can celebrate our differences and recognize each other’s value! Thank you Jesus, for being an example of being better!

“The world’s greatest champion of woman and womanhood is Jesus the Christ.” – James E. Talmage

If we truly have faith in and love our Heavenly Father and Saviour, Jesus Christ, it changes us and will have us improving our interactions by being more humble and kind. Being gentle and loving in all that we do. No interactions are more important than those with our spouse. Treat them with respect and love. As we draw closer to Jesus Christ, we draw closer to our spouse and to those around us and make the world a better place! Also, look at that list on attributes and ask yourself, couldn’t the world use a little more of each of them?

“Compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, love, charity.” – Colossians 3:12-14

The Lord gives us tests throughout our lives. Covid is definitely a time of testing. How are you doing? Are you closer to the Lord today through this trial? Have you strengthened your testimony through prayer, scripture study and exercising your faith? I hope we are all looking for opportunities to be better and do better and strive to press forward despite the trials and tribulations going in around us.

“Perhaps recent events can be a spiritual alarm clock focusing us on those things that matter most. One day, we will look back on this as a foundational time of preparation and not just something we had to endure.” – Quentin L. Cook

It’s time to stand up and be who you are! You have divinity within you and you are destined for greatness! You don’t need to be anyone but yourself and you will make those around you better!

“Quit hiding your magic! The world is ready for you.” – Danielle Doby

There is no other way or means whereby man can be saved, only in and through Jesus Christ! — Alma 38:9

“Throughout our lives, God’s grace bestows temporal blessings and spiritual gifts that magnify our abilities and enrich our lives. His grace refines us. His grace helps us become our best selves.” – Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Satan has done an effective job of minimizing the importance of the role that women play in the world. In Heavenly Father’s plan, women play an equal role as men. The role each play is unique, but very much essential. Neither should ever feel as if they don’t bring value. We are children of God and He loves us. We each have that spark of divinity within us. When we recognize our potential and our value, we’ll realize there isn’t anything we can’t do.

“It is clear that, throughout history, women have held a distinctive place in our Heavenly Father’s plan.” – Joy D. Jones

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

Our covenants are paramount! There is no blessing or opportunity that we cannot receive if we uphold our end of those covenants! These covenants are deeply personal and not dependant on others, they are between you and your God!

“Every woman and every man who makes covenants with God and keeps those covenants, and who participates worthily in priesthood ordinances, has direct access to the power of God.” – Russell M. Nelson

Like the morning sunrise, we are growing into something amazing, inch by inch, bit by bit. Don’t stress about the speed so much as the direction and the humility required to grow! The Lord requires an open heart and a willing mind and He will do great things with you! Before long you’ll be as bright as the noon day sun! Love the 2021 Youth Theme!

“Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great, Behold, the Lord requireth the heart and a willing mind.” – Doctrine and Covenants 64:33-34

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

The storm clouds are brewing! We need to be spiritually ready for the trials and challenges that are coming. We are capable. We have been saved for these last days and we’ve been given gifts that will help us to strive through the challenges we are facing. But we need to rise to the challenge and prepare.

“To be a righteous woman during the winding up scenes on this earth. Before the second coming of our Saviour. Is an especially noble calling. The righteous woman’s strength and influence today can be tenfold what it might be in more tranquil times.” – Spencer W. Kimball

We are each unique in our own way but one thing we all have in common is our divine heritage. We are each children of Heavenly Parents, who love us and are keenly aware of and invested in each of us. They are watching our growth and are hopeful we will be guided in the direction we are to go. Keep moving forward and keep striving towards Them.

“He knows each of us by name and has individual roles for us to fulfill.” – Joy D. Jones

I don’t believe the prophet is going use scare tactics in order to get us to listen, but I do believe he will urge and encourage with all his being for us to be found doing the right things. I think if you’re paying attention, Russell M. Nelson has been doing just that!

“Our prophet… pleads with us, which indicates priority. He is teaching us how to survive spiritually in a sin-sick world by receiving and acting on revelation.” – Joy D. Jones

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

The way forward is tough, but we are all needed. Each brother and sister who steps up to make a difference will help others who are striving and we will be better together. Thee lift me, and I’ll lift thee and we shall ascend together!

“I plead with my sisters of [the] church … to step forward! Take your rightful and needful place in your home, in you community, and in the kingdom of God — more than you ever have before.” – Russell M. Nelson

@elkvalleylatterdaysaint

Women are amazing! My proximity to my wife and mother have taught me that they are amazing! But regardless of how amazing someone is, there’s no way that anyone should be expected to do everything. We need to take a step back, prioritize the most important things and then do what we can.

“Women wear many hats, but it is impossible, and unnecessary, to wear them all at once. The Spirit helps us determine which work to focus on today.” – Joy D. Jones
