Will you keep Christ in your heart?
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19
This verse really hit me hard today. Mary had so much on her mind, for she had just given birth to the Savior of all mankind. The little baby in her arms was the literal son of God. I can only imagine the awe that she must have felt. Lying peacefully in her arms was her baby boy with both mortal blood and the power of his Father, even God, flowing through his veins. She must had felt as though the eyes of all of God’s children born and unborn were watching her. What unbelievable pressure she must have felt. I bet, not a day went by that she did not ponder these things in her heart. Truly, she kept Christ in her heart.
Matthew 6:21
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
I think it is safe to say, where your heart is, there will your treasure be also.
We too must keep Christ in our hearts, and ponder His miraculous power to save us and His unmatched love for us to come unto and become like Him, inheriting all that the Father has. What amazing treasure that is, surely there is no greater treasure we can seek after. So, I ask again, during this Christmas season and always, Will you keep Christ in your heart?
