Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, my Redeemer and Advocate, lived! He was born a helpless babe in a humble stable. He lived and taught and suffered and died for me and for you! This Christmas season, look to Him and marvel at the gifts He has given you!

“Because of the Saviour born two thousand years ago in Bethlehem, there is hope – and so much more. There is redemption, release, victory, and triumph.” – L. Whitney Clayton

This season is truly about Jesus Christ and his birth, life and ministry. He truly brightens our life and leads the way. As we enjoy another wonderful Christmas Season, don’t forget about who Christ is and what having Him live means to us. He truly is the reason for the season.

“May the beautiful lights of every Christmas season remind us of Him who is the source of all light.” – David A. Bednar

With God, all things are possible. He provides a way! He comforts, He leads, He guides. He has an eternal, all-encompassing plan in which we may all play a role. It is up to each of us to decide if we want to participate. If we do, He assures us that we have no reason to fear.

“Despite life’s hardships, the message of the Lord to each of us is the same today as it was to the shepherds keeping watch 2,000 years ago: ‘Fear not.'” – L. Whitney Clayton

What a miracle!!! I love the Christmas season, and not just because of quality family time, or the Spirit of Christ that accompanies the season. I love it for that too. But I especially love to be reminded of the nativity story because of what the birth of our Saviour represents! He truly lived. He learned and grew. His life paved the way for each of us to repent and be made whole, and to live with our Heavenly Parents once again. Let us adore our Saviour, but not just the baby in a manger, but as our risen Lord, who truly knows each of us!

“O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!” – Hymn 202, O Come All Ye Faithful

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s a time to focus on the Saviour. Not just His birth but His family, His life, His sacrifice and all He means to us. It invites the Spirit of Christ into our lives and makes us want to be better! I love Christmas and I love Jesus Christ!

“It seems inevitable that Christmastime evokes the most tender and loving feelings towards the Saviour and his earthly family. The Christmas story is a family story.” – Richard J. Maynes

Christmas is the perfect time to show Jesus Christ that you love Him. You can do that by loving and serving others, being grateful, making and keeping covenants, by striving to be better and so many more ways. The important thing is that if you have felt of His love, help others feel of that love too! Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are happy to see any progression, so keep moving forward and keep showing Christ that you love Him.

“This Christmas, I invite each of us to choose to do something that expresses, in an outward way, our inward feelings about our Savior, Jesus Christ, as the gift we give to Him this year.” – Gary E. Stevenson

The greatest gift we can give to another is our time and our heart. As we give ourselves to the Saviour, we grow and are made better and as such, will have much more of ourselves to give.

“They presented gold, frankincense, and myrrh. These are not the gifts that Jesus asks of us. From the treasure of our hearts, Jesus asks that we give of ourselves.” – Thomas S. Monson

Part of the beauty of Christmas is the joy felt when experiencing the season with children. It’s easy to get completely distracted by the commercialization, but when you see the joy in a child’s eyes at the lights of the tree, or of them retelling the nativity story, you truly get a sense of how wonderful the season can be. Look for the good in the world and choose joy! Merry Christmas everyone!

“We miss something if we don’t see Christmas through a child’s eye.” – Rosemary M. Wixom

Just as we celebrate a birthday not simply by focusing on the single day of birth of that person, let us also not simply focus on the birth of the Saviour, but also who He was, what He has done for us, and how He lived his life. Let us strive to be more like Him and to improve ourselves and the lives of others by following His example. Let us build our foundations on the Rock that is Jesus Christ and be not moved. Let’s be better.

“Christmas is not only a celebration of how Jesus came into the world but also of knowing who he is — our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ — and of why He came.” – Craig C. Christensen
