“The Godhead includes God the Eternal Father, the Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Although the members of the Godhead are distinct beings with distinct roles, They are one in purpose. They are perfectly united in bringing to pass Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation.” (Come, Follow Me)

Recently, I had a friend try and explain to me how she thought The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost were one person. As she spoke I kept thinking about how Christ in his last hours reached out to His Father on more than one occasion.
“And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.” (mark 14:36)
“And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34)
To me, the fact that in Christ’s deepest, darkest moments He reached out to His Father was evidence enough that His Father was a separate person than himself. Still, I felt the need to find more scriptures.
Join me as we look at 8 scriptures that will help us understand the true nature of the Godhead. Please know that there are so many more than 8, and a deeper study will result in even greater understanding.
