John 2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The living water that we seek is a life filled with the love and guidance of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Through him we will find that our cups are filled and overflowing with peace on earth, even when the earth is full of turmoil. This peace and guidance starts with the first greatest miracle of our lives, our conversion to Christ. When was the first time you felt his undying love and became committed to following him? When did your journey of conversion start? That first moment for all of us, is what brings us to the waters of baptism, our gateway to eternal life. From those waters we emerge into a life of living water, flowing graciously into our lives as we become more and more converted everyday. It’s truly beautiful.

The Week’s challenge for Come Follow me, is to ponder your conversion journey, record your earliest memories of conversion. Maybe there was a specific time that stands out strong in your mind. For me it was an accumulation of moments that ultimately led me to a lifelong pursuit of following Christ with my whole heart, mind, and soul.

I feel fortunate that I grew up in a home where the gospel was taught, lived and loved. My parents were truly “goodly parents”. The spirit was always present in my home, and I came to love it and crave it. From there, I was drawn to places where I could feel that peace. I loved walking the temples grounds on Sunday afternoons. It was the same comfort and peace I felt at home. Then I felt it at youth conference and young women activities. I was drawn to these feelings.

As I experienced more of life, I was exposed to times and places that were void of the spirit. This distinct difference has governed my life–and every decision and passion throughout motherhood. I choose to dwell in the peace and light of Christ.

Once you’ve recorded your earliest conversion memories, you can continue to record the process of change that has taken place in your life as the Lord has transformed you into the great, awesome person you are today. Don’t worry, he’s not done! Keep drinking from the living fountain, and keep watching the transformation that will continue to take place.

I am forever thankful to my Savior for his sacrifice–that he came to earth for me, to redeem me from my own choices, that he was willing to sacrifice his life for me, so that I may be free from my sins and weaknesses. That through Him I can find the strength to become better. I am thankful for His endless Atonement that empowers me to new heights daily, as I learn to trust Him, and to lean on Him, especially at times when I feel weak. I’m thankful that the plan is perfect, and that the Holy Ghost is a constant companion. I’m so glad that the Lord gave us every possible safety net to help us return home. He loves us!! Always and Forever!!
