Come Follow Me Weekly Challenge: Jesus is the Christ (John 1) by Sherri Jorgensen | -Come, Follow Me, -Sherri Jorgensen, Bible, challenge, Come Unto Christ Artwork, Jesus Christ, New Testament, Stand as a Witness 17 years ago we moved from Arizona to Iowa. Suddenly, I was no longer in a ward, but in a small branch. My church building wasn’t half a mile down the road, it was now a thirty minute drive. My stake boundaries that used to cover one square mile, now had a diameter of a ninety minute drive in all directions. My town of 15,000 had five families who were members. It was the most wonderful transition. I love what the branch has taught me, but the number one thing is that the gospel is about moving towards Christ and moving others towards Christ. Everything else is in place to further those two objectives. When Christ is the center of our lives, when we are daily striving to follow HIS example, life becomes delightful. It is through Him that we find peace and comfort amid our trials. It is through Him that we find true joy and the energy to carry on. It’s is His sacrifice that redeems us in the end, but just as beautiful, it is His sacrifice that carries us to the end. There is no other way to receive salvation, or exaltation. He suffered for each and every one of us, He took upon himself our sins and pains so that he could advocate for us with full understanding and compassion. He can heal our souls, repair our holes, and gives us strength to withstand any storm. It is through His love that we find the time and strength to lift others and to serve. Every living soul on this earth falls under His atoning sacrifice and is surrounded by His love. As we embrace His teachings and His atonement in our own lives we then can assist others in seeing that same light in their lives.THIS WEEK WRITE DOWN YOUR OWN TESTIMONY OF CHRIST Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Related
