LDS church has changed my life.
I am not an LDS member, but this church has changed my life is so many ways. 2 years ago I honestly had no idea about this church, I’ll be the first one to admit that I believed in all the misconceptions all the rumors about Mormonism until I met a girl and her family. At this point in my life I was looking for the truth and what it truly meant to follow Jesus. This girl became a close close friend to me and I soon figured out she was Mormon, at first I was surprised maybe a little confused. She tried to explain to me all the ins and outs of her church but I just didn’t quite grasp it because I didn’t want to accept it into my heart. As time went on she kept tugging at my spiritual strings so i really started to question the truth. Not just what my pastor told me in church or what this or that person says, but what does Jesus say. The first truth I found in the LDS chruch was simply the belief there is good in every person. The Holy Ghost is everywhere and it will show to anyone who is willing to let it in. Showing weakness to the spirit gives us strength in Jesus. It releases the good inside of us. Even though opening up, maybe just a crack, can be hard to do, Jesus will flood you if you surrender to him. The LDS church really emphasizes this belief and it’s truly amazing to know that everyone has good. The girl stayed in my life for longer and we would often get in arguments about what was the truth and what was not. Again I was not Mormon and she is. Here in lies the second belief I came across due to the Mormon church. Their is no need to argue over the truth because the LDS church believes Jesus came down died for our sins so we can live eternal life. What gives if I believe in the smallest difference, it’s never worth sacrificing love, because the truth always remains. Jesus died for us because he loves us. He loves us. So he died for us. Isn’t that the greatest love in the world and shouldn’t we challenge ourselves everyday to love more radically? Love overcomes everything. The girl talked to me about how in the LDS church family is so important. She explained to me that families are eternally locked together. I find that amazing because a family in love should be together forever, and I never understood why this wasn’t found in any other form of Christianity, but it was found in the LDS church and I’m a big lover especially when it comes to family. The girl continued to teach me and help me to shape my faith, as well as praying to God and getting knocked on a little bit. What I do know is that the Mormon church is a true church. That emphasizes Christ dying for us, love, family, and eternity.
