When it comes to sports, pain is expected in order to have growth. It’s common to push past the point of comfort on a daily basis. There is endless motivating quotes hung on lockers, walls, and engraved in heads all to encourage and seek pain.

“No pain No gain”

“The pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow”

“Pain is temporary, Greatness is forever”

“Pain is temporary, it may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place.”

“Remember that guy that gave up? Neither does anyone else”

“The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory”

“There is no such thing as something for nothing”

“Everyone must choose one of two pains, The pain of discipline or the pain of regret.”

“Pain is just weakness leaving the body”

“There will be pain, there will be suffering, but where others fail I will continue to rise.”

There’s a “Bring it on” attitude! It all seems worth it for that perfect body, or perfect performance!

I find it interesting how the adversary can make the end goal of a temporary success or championship become the life goal of so many, and how he is able to convince us that the goal of eternal glory is insignificant. How we will endure all sorts of hardship to achieve greatness on the court…but eternal greatness seems overwhelming. Isn’t it worth it for that perfect eternity?

What if we could see our trials and tribulations as a means to an end…something we have to go through so that we could grow and reach our ultimate goal. We could have motivational notes around to encourage us in our journey to achieve the victory of Eternal Life.

“No trial, No glory”

“The pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow”

“Pain is temporary, Greatness is forever”

“Pain is temporary, it may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place.”

“The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory”

“There is no such thing as something for nothing”

“Everyone must choose one of two pains, The pain of discipline or the pain of regret.”

“Trials are just weakness becoming strengths”

“There will be pain, there will be suffering, but where others fail I will continue to rise.”

If we could have a “Bring it on” attitude…because we understand that greatness is achieved through hard work.
