We Look Up!

Recently I had an interesting experience. I went to a meeting with a group of woman and for a majority of the time they focused on how hard life is, how hard marriage is, how hard motherhood was. I felt uncomfortable. I tried sharing one one my favorite quotes with them to 

My sisters have raised me that if you struggle with your marriage you don’t get down on your marriage, instead you think, “How can we celebrate husbands?”
It’s the same in life…instead of getting down in life..”how do we celebrate life, how do we serve others, how do we look outside this?”

Okay! stop focusing on it!..how can you serve others?
That was so beautiful because that’s what we do. We don’t focus on
I love that about our sisterhood! I love that about us as a church! I love that about us as a people!
We don’t just dive in and spend hours,
Yes!
WE SAY LIFT UP YOUR HEAD AND REJOICE! REJOICE IN WHAT YOU HAVE AND GO SERVE OTHERS!

We culturally do! As a people, as a church!
We focus on LOOKING UP!

WE do that as a sisterhood all the time whether it’s anxiety, kids, marriage, …whatever it is we focus UP!

Shed light on looking up!
