Today is day 18 of our 21-day challenge. This has been such a great challenge and I for one will be sad to see it end.

The question for today is:
What can the gospel of Jesus Christ offer me?
I decided to focus on the scripture today. The scripture is: 4 Nephi 1:1-18
Let’s look at the blessings the gospel of Jesus Christ offered them so long ago recognizing that the same blessings are offered us today.
“And as many as did come unto them, and did truly repent of their sins, were baptized in the name of Jesus; and they did also receive the Holy Ghost.”
Receiving the Holy Ghost is different than just being baptized. This is a special and unique gift that can only be bestowed by the laying on of hands by someone who has the priesthood.
This is our fourth Article of Faith:
“We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
“all manner of miracles did they work among the children of men; and in nothing did they work miracles save it were in the name of Jesus.”
Miracles are a big part of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Once we begin to recognize them we realize just how much our Savior loves us and just how much He is in the details of our lives.
“And it came to pass that there was no contention in the land, because of the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people.”
Ok, so we are still working on this one. We are not a perfect people yet. But the first few verses in this chapter help us to know what we have to look forward to. 😄
