I simply love the book Following the Light of Christ into His Presence by John Pontius. This quote really stuck out to me the other day and I wanted to make it into a picture quote. I have really been working hard at hearing the voice of the Lord to me personally and then acting on those promptings. I will commit to improving, will you?
I decided to add to this post. I was in the shower pondering the Spirit and hearing and obeying and the question came to me, is there really anything else? As I pondered that I felt the spirit rest upon me. There really isn’t much more than that.
Abraham 3:25
And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them;
Inorder for us to obey all things the Lord commands us, we must first hear the commands. Our conscience, which is the Light of Christ in its simplest form, speaks to us constantly. This is the voice of Christ to us personally and we must learn to hear it and then obey.
I thought about all the prophets in the scriptures and realized that they are all nearly without exception about hearing the voice of the Lord to them and then obeying that command. It is really amazing. I am excited for this added knowledge and am committing today to do much better.
