Let me just say how much I love this scripture. It is so simple and yet profound all wrapped up together in just 17 words.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

If we learned nothing except how to be “led by the Spirit of God,” we would have learned enough in this life, hence, “they are the sons of God.” First of all to be led is more than knowledge of the destination, but rather, it is knowledge with obedient action. Let’s define it.
Google defines led as: past and past participle of lead.
Which signifies that the leading was in the past and thus successful. Looking now at lead, which is what the Holy Ghost is and will be doing for us. Pay attention to the definitions and the synonyms.
lead:
1. cause (a person or animal) to go with one by holding them by the hand, a halter, a rope, etc., while moving forward.
2. be in charge or command of.
synonyms: be the leader of, be the head of, preside over, head, command, govern, rule, be in charge of, be in command of, be in control of, run, control, direct, be at the helm of;
And where would the Holy Spirit lead us to? Directly to our Father in Heaven and our Savior, Jesus Christ, in the Celestial kingdom. Which is why we would be the sons of God, because we would have qualified to be led by the Holy Spirit back to the Father to inherit all that the Father hath and to be joint heirs with Christ.
Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. https://www.lds.org/scriptures/nt/rom/8?lang=eng
Now that we have a better understanding of the Ponderize scripture, let us ponder the deep meanings and have it settle into our souls so that we begin today to be obedient to the voice of the Lord in our own minds and hearts.
