I watched the below video this morning and it really moved me. This quote jumped out at me.
“…may we declare ourselves to be more fully disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, not in word only and not only in the flush of comfortable times but in deed and in courage and in faith, including when the path is lonely and when our cross is difficult to bear.” None Were with Him – Elder Jeffrey R. I would like to bear my witness and testimony, that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God. He truly suffered more than any mortal mind can comprehend and then he died for us, so that if we so live our lives, we could be reunited again and live with our Father in Heaven again. In the words of my girls favorite song right now, and an amazing song at that:
Gethsemane
Jesus climbed the hill
To the garden still
His steps were heavy and slow
Love and a prayer
Took Him there
To the place only He could go
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane
He felt all that was sad, wicked or bad
All the pain we would ever know
While His friends were asleep
He fought to keep
His promise made long ago
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane
The hardest thing that ever was done
The greatest pain that ever was known
The biggest battle that ever was won
This was done by Jesus
The fight was won by Jesus
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He gave His gift to me
In Gethsemane
Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He gives His gift to me
From Gethsemane
Let us accept the atonement and repent and come unto our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is my prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
