In a world where outrage often trends, disciples of Jesus Christ are called to “publish peace” (Isaiah 52:7; Mosiah 15:16). Elder Gary E. Stevenson has encouraged us to fill our feeds, our conversations, and our daily choices with the good news of the Savior—kindness, mercy, and hope.
Before you post or speak, pause and ask:
- Will this increase love, faith, or hope?
- Does it reflect the Prince of Peace?
- Can I replace criticism with compassion, and rumor with truth?
Ways to publish peace today:
- Share a scripture or a quiet testimony of Christ (3 Nephi 11:29; Matthew 5:9).
- Defend someone with charity; refuse to pass along contempt (D&C 98:16).
- Tell a story of everyday goodness.
- Offer a sincere apology, or extend forgiveness.
Publishing peace is really publishing Him—“saying unto Zion: Thy God reigneth!” (3 Nephi 20:40; Mosiah 15:18). Let’s choose words that heal, posts that lift, and actions that point to Jesus Christ.
