Sometimes discipleship looks like quiet miles, steady hands, and borrowed light. An expectant mother rests; a faithful guardian leads; and heaven prepares room in the simplest of places. Among grazing sheep, we remember the Good Shepherd who would come—promised from ages past—and how God’s greatest works often arrive “by small and simple things” (Alma 37:6).
May this scene invite us to:
- Walk with steady faith when the way is long (Luke 2:4–7; Micah 5:2).
- Make room in our own “inn” for the Savior—space in schedules, homes, and hearts (Revelation 3:20).
- Bear one another’s burdens as companions in covenant discipleship (Mosiah 18:8–9).
- Trust that the promised Child brings peace to every season (Alma 7:10–12; John 10:11).
Today, let’s carry someone else’s load, offer a place of warmth, and let His light lead us home.
