🌟 “Except Ye Be Converted” – A Call to Childlike Faith 🌟
“Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3)
What does it mean to “become as little children”? In this profound teaching, the Savior invites us to strip away the layers of worldly pride and skepticism, and instead, embrace the humility, trust, and purity of a child. Children trust their parents implicitly, forgive easily, love openly, and are eager to learn. These qualities reflect the very heart of discipleship and the pathway to the kingdom of God.
🌱 Conversion Begins with a Childlike Heart
To be “converted” is more than a one-time event—it is a transformation of the soul, a continual turning toward God. It requires us to cultivate a teachable spirit, relinquish our reliance on the world, and place unwavering faith in our Heavenly Father.
When we approach life with the wonder and innocence of a child, we open ourselves to the Spirit and to the guidance of the Savior. We learn to trust His plan, forgive as He forgives, and love as He loves.
💡 Reflection Questions:
1️⃣ Are there areas in my life where I am holding onto pride or resistance instead of yielding to the Savior’s will?
2️⃣ How can I nurture more humility, faith, and purity in my daily walk?
3️⃣ Who in my life exemplifies this childlike spirit, and how can I emulate their example?
🙏 An Invitation:
Today, let us remember the words of our Redeemer and strive to “become as little children.” Let us pray for a softened heart, willing to trust, forgive, and love. As we do so, we will draw nearer to the kingdom of heaven and find peace in His eternal embrace.
