🌟 Becoming as a Child: A Path to Christlike Love 🌟
In this tender depiction of the Savior embracing a child, we are reminded of the powerful words from Mosiah 3:19:
“The natural man is an enemy to God, … unless he becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, … humble, … full of love.”
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland has often taught how essential it is to allow the Savior’s atonement to transform our hearts. Becoming “as a child” means developing a pure, teachable, and loving spirit. It is through humility and submission to God’s will that we find peace and joy in our relationship with Him.
This image inspires us to reflect on how we can align our hearts with the Savior’s love. Are we striving to be humble, compassionate, and teachable? Are we seeking to let Christ’s atonement refine us into saints—ready to love, forgive, and serve?
Let us all strive to lay aside the tendencies of the natural man and embrace the qualities of a child: trust, humility, and pure love. Through the Savior, we can find the strength to become more like Him.
💬 What helps you cultivate childlike humility and love in your life? How have you felt the Savior’s love as you strive to follow Him?
